Not sure if it's still working but it is/was IGN's game of the week for PC http://www.ign.com/prime/promo/five-nights-at-freddys#
I don't see anyone playing this game long-term since there isn't much to do gameplay-wise. Mostly like just a couple of times. Also, I think $2.99 is a bit steep for this game. Just my opinions.
The same could be said about any of the other popular horror games (Slender and whatnot). There's not really much to do, but people frickin' love them. Also, it does take a while to be able to survive 5 nights. If you think $2.99 is a bit much, you're gonna hate it when the $5 cheat mode is added. Oh...and there ya go: 18 in the top paid charts.
I wish that Sanuku made a video on this game, IOS version of course! I am going to get this game today though so yeah.
Even though I'm against it (for the sake of ruining the game for you), you should probably check out PewDiePie or Markiplier's videos of the game on YouTube. That said, an even better idea would be to try the game first (because believe me, you have NO idea how scary it is) and then watch those vids.
That app icon freaks me out.. So what are you suppose to do? I saw the trailer but didn't really catch the objective
I could be utterly wrong but from what I've seen my daughter play of it is, Spoiler you're supposed to keep an eye on toys via security cameras, and stop them coming in your little cabin type thing by using the door switches once you see them appear She loves it, I'll be honest she was influenced by pewdie pie, but she's had great fun playing this, I've had to buy all my nephews a copy too so it's worked out expensive but well worth every penny to watch them all playing together. I so wanted to sneak up behind em and shout BOOO hahaha.
All you can do in the game is check cameras and turn on the lights and close the doors os the security room. So you have to Spoiler look for the robots on the cameras and, if they get to you door, close it. And save energy or else they will get you. Interesting game, but I think there is too much hype. Interesting, but overated, in my opinion. I would love to see more games from this dev, tough.
Want to see more games from the same Dev, eh? Well, wait until 2015 because Five Nights At Freddy's 2 is coming soon. The grand reopening of Freddy Restaurant is happening...Also, the hype is happening because of Pewdiepie and I don't think that this game is overrated because it's really good!
Yeah, the game itself (putting aside the attention it's gotten on YouTube) is bloody fantastic. It may be simple, but the idea is fresh, never been done before, works flawlessly and the sound design is just plain out of this world. Hell, it even got a Gold Award on Pocket Gamer if anyone's on the fence.
Ah the good old "over-rated" phrase. Basically saying "I don't like something you like so you must be wrong"...
I hope that TouchArcade reviews Five Nights At Freddy's IOS sometime next week or so. And maybe get featured as App Of The Week.
I'm not saying anyone here is wrong (except you, obviously). I'm not saying it is a bad game, I'm only saying I didn't like it as much as everyone else. This is my opinion. I can still not like a game as much as everyone else, right?
