The fantastic art style probably doesn't lend itself to the usual Rocketcat extras; North American Death Highway better have some hats, though. Did your usual artist (Pietro?) make FCQ's graphics? Looks sharper than a switchblade.
We probably could have done hats ok due to the animation style, we just didn't this time. Brandon wasn't the artist on this one, I tried someone new so we could go for a different style. I think it turned out pretty well, I'd like to use this style again later. I've been thinking about doing a game kind of like a less complex, more arcade-like version of Wayward Souls in this style.
I should have a release date pretty soon. Also I think starting Monday I'll start posting more screenshots and tidbits! I've just been really busy with Death Road to Canada stuff. I should also probably make a Death Road thread soon too.
Five Card is coming out Thursday! I'm really interested in seeing what everyone thinks. It's a new genre for me, I'm really used to making action games and this is turn based strategy instead. Planning on taking early feedback and doing an update based on suggestions. I'm seeing if I can make some gifs of it. I've been doing that for Death Road to Canada recently, it's pretty fun. And the game's in vertical orientation, so it probably will look better in gif form than on youtube, anyway.
Hello there, I'm Fernando, the artist for FCQ. Thank you all for the awesome feedback on the art and the game, that really made my day ;] Those are the characters, each class has a female and a male variant. ;] Some enemies from the first levels of the game: And this is a WIP of the character selection screen that got cut because of time. Sorry about the lack of gnomes, maybe we could work some later on, hahah
$2.99! Most of our games will be $4.99 but this one's fairly simple and it's the first entry into a new genre, so I figured we should go for that price. Shadows Over Mystara was great.
