Yes this is true....but how many people have finished the game completely without cheating? :p

And the new hint system seems sweet. Thanks

Yeah, in reality these games can only really be single player since cheating is so easy and undetectable.

I have noticed the keyboard scrambling really helps me pick up obvious words that would have otherwise escaped my brain. I think it will really help extend the game once people hit their "wall", even before resorting to hints.

The new hint system looks great! Yeah, I think the Textropolis is more about self satisfaction rather than flaunting to other people how many words you found without hints.

Edit: Does this mean the hint system remembers what hints you've received? I'm on Amsterdam getting the same hints over and over (so I decided to screenshot them and just refer to that). :p

The hint will keep working on the same word until you guess it (not that hard after revealing the first few letters), then move on to another unguessed word.

Just wanted to say that I am still playing Textropolis and it is a wonderful game. Still, there are some curious omissions in word recognition - like "arab" or "harlot" for example, while much more obscure slang and foreign words were included.

IMHO, getting that first gold star in a city is usually relatively easy - it is getting beyond that that's tough. Personally, I only achieved 2 gold stars 2 cities. I found that I only find new words in gold-star cities for a couple of minutes after turning on the app. After that, inspiration dries up and I move to the less demanding snagging of silver stars in unused cities.

Anyway, fun, fun game with tons of staying power.

Thanks! The word lists are intended to be composed of all valid Scrabble words. In Textropolis I removed some words that were defined "vulgar", but abstained from doing that in Fishtropolis.

Just because a word is "obscure" to someone doesn't mean its not still a word! If you know something about hebrew, zoology, biology, or chemestry, some of the "obscure" words might be the first ones that come to mind. If I took them out those same people would complain!
