Hey everyone! I wanted to announce a new game we just released on the app store called First Contact. It's fully 3D, and the gameplay is similar to missile command.

    $.99US at the app store!

    First Contact website

    Cheers!

The incoming stuff coming seem hard to be distinguish from the stars in the background judging from the video.

It is not hard to pick up the enemy targets.
Each missile tower flashes with red when it detects an enemy in range giving you an idea of where to look.
you may have to zoom in/out or scroll around to find the targets but they stand out.

No, there's no real upgrades to speak of :) It's more of an arcade action game (like the original Missile Command) that tests your speed and wits, rather than a tower defense level-up type game. Upgrades might be a bit more exciting, but they wouldn't add anything to the core gameplay, which is based on speed and endurance.

You earn screen-clearing Nukes every 5 rounds, which come in handy during a panic. We may add other types of one-shot power ups in a future patch, if the game does well.

Sounds like work lol, won't be picking up unless ibitf thinks it's worth it. 2.99 seems a bit much for a highscore game. Even if the graphics are really cool.

    PM'd you instructions.

The difficulty ramps up fast, which is good I guess if you don't have too much time on your hands. I like it. It's a well done slant on Missile Command (which incidentally I felt was a let down. Conversely Centipede rocks:)) Thank you Glinkie Games. Looking forward to future additions to this...

So, a few things I would like to see having played it for a few minutes now.

    1) I would like to be able to see the wave that I reached on the High Scores too, not just the points scored.

    2) I would like not to have to type my name in every time I finish a game.

    3) I like the simplicity of this game very much, but I am wondering already if perhaps it would benefit from some extra spice. Certainly it would be good to be able to re-establish colonies somehow, so the game could last a little longer. The game ramps up very fast and you quickly become overwhelmed by all the 'threats', so I think this addition would add a welcome feeling of 'ok, all is not lost. Perhaps total annihilation is avoidable for now'.....if you know what I mean.

That's all that springs to mind right now. I am proud of my first effort of Wave 13 and 59250. I already feel that 'oh, maybe just one more go' feeling. Well done devs:)

@Alichan: Thanks for the feedback! Your ideas are definitely good ones. I thought about adding the wave in the highscore actually, but we decided against it last minute to save some time. Still, these are valid points, and we'll be sure to consider them for future updates. Thanks!
