I'm just interested in Real Racing for the physics engine. But if Trackmania were to come out for the iPhone...
After NFS impresses so many people and review websites? Of course! As someone else said, they might be waiting for the hype to die down or try to make up for NFS' flaws from people's complaints, eg. multiplayer, free roam, etc. May be..
If they implement free roam I will head over to Australia and hug them. That would be AWESOME. That by definition would add unlimited replayability.
Not to mention the interview with the dev on TA, said that Flight Control was a total away from work project. Not that Firemint was not put some attention to Flight Control now, but Real Racing is still the focus. It takes time to make a game you are quite proud of.
Umm.. sorry I don't really get it, why would free roam add unlimited replayability? I sure like a free roam mode but to me it doesn't add more too much replayability. I don't mind a peaceful free roam a la Glyder, but still prefer Quick Race most of the time.
Lol free roam in a realistic track racing simulator? Free roam with your team big rig to find different tracks and racing events?
I have some questions about Real Racing. - How do you progress through the game? Complete one event to unlock the next or is there a different system? - How will cars be unlocked? - How is the acrade/simulation balance-thing? Is is comparable to games like Project Gotham Racing? - Will there be drafing (aka slipstreaming)? - When can we finally play it? End of may, or are you waiting for the fuzz around NFSU to decrease? - Is it possible to change the colour of the car? - About the online scoreboards: are the lists of top times for specific tracks separated for each car class? I'm sure I can think of some more but I won't trouble you untill tomorrow Thanks in advance, really looking forward to this game!
Multiplayer....Multiplayer thats what we all need!! Yeah make sure it has a good amount of races, maybe free roam.
Well actually it started as a side project of one of the devs and then Firemint got in on it... They may have spent some studio time working on it. However, you're right about it being a side project and Real Racing the main event. If this becomes another Need For Speed, then they won't be getting my money.
So, if they delay the launch to improve the game, you won't buy it? That's pretty stupid and the reason why we get so many unfinished or even worse, beta quality releases on the app store. If you can't wait a few extra weeks for a better quality game, then go get 1 of the many racers already on the app store - you deserve them! 1,2. According to Firemint's earlier response this will be championship based. 3. They've said they are more sim like than others on app store, but not overboard and tweaked physics engine to be more fun. So yes, more like PGR I suppose. 4. They said slipstreaming is possible. 5. Your guess is as good as mine! 6. I believe they said no to any sort of car mods, but maybe you could select a colour? 7. Good question, I would assume so or it would give an unfair advantage to the better class of car.
