Just thought this was pretty cool http://glow.mozilla.org/ it's basicly just watching the live downloads of firefox 4 the numbers are really flying up. I've been watching it for about 20 min or so although I've no plans to upgrade to it myself I've been using palemoon for quite a while now.
I've been on it for about a month now... some sites load a lot faster than before, Facbook being a particularly noticeable one, but there are also a few annoyances present that I didn't have with 3.X. I missed the omission of the status bar, although the compromise they came up with is pretty good and I'm getting used to it. One thing I really don't like is the drop down History list that used to be right next to the Back button... why get rid of it? I used it all the time.
For anyone else that is annoyed that Firefox 4 removes the CTRL + E shortcut for search: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/change-search-shortcut/
Wasn't Panorama supposed to replace it? Is that even still in? I can't seem to find it... or any recent information about it.
Panorama is in Firefox with CTRL SHIFT E. I think they just overlooked putting the CTRL E shortcut back in.
!!! Thank you! Ah man I'm so grateful, haha. It was really killing me not knowing that. I'm happy now
Ahh there it is. Cmd-Shift-E for me on Mac Mozilla have done really well at hiding as many features as possible from me.
I get more hangs than I used to, but that might just be since I switched to Mac... I don't recall the same thing happening on Windows. Difficult to know where to lay the blame but... yeah, it's still top heavy and it's not competing for the top spot on speed. Other than the occasional hang I've got no real issues though.
The Panorama feature is pretty resource intensive so it's probably not a good idea to use it. I'll be sticking with Pale Moon. I'm sure their update isn't far off.
It's noticeably faster for me and rarely hangs now compared to 3 (especially on java and flash sites), but it still isn't as fast and smooth as Chrome.
It looks and works like Firefox, all seem normal subjects and add-ons to be compatible and it is definitely faster. I like it. Hope to update it based on Firefox4.
I missed the omission of the status bar, although the compromise they came up with is pretty good and I'm getting used to it.
Yes!And do u guys know that Firefox4 occupies 30% or some while the used-to-leading market IE occupies 40% or some//////!Firefox is developing very well!
I'm debating with myself where to try palemoon 4 as I really quite like the 3 series I notice they have made the fourth as a different download altogether. For anyone who doesn't know about it palemoon is basicly a windows optimised version of firefox I use it both on my main pc and my netbook and it works great on both.
I'm using Palemoon 4 right now. It doesn't run quite as smoothly as Palemoon 3, but that may just be because I'm not used to it yet. It looks pretty though, I'll say that. Honestly, though, I'd wait for a few more updates so they can smooth the kinks out before updating.
