5* Takumi is actually one of the best heroes to get in the meta right now. There's no way to play simultaneously right now. All battles are against AI, although Arena AI behaves differently from the other missions. If you don't move for example, the AI on the other stages won't move, but in Arena, they'll approach you. Also your defensive team is by default your left-most team slot.
I want to link my fire emblem account to a MyNintendo account so I need to create one but was wondering how it makes it easier like it says on the page if I link it to Google, Facebook or Twitter? The other option on the page is to just enter in some details and create an account. What is the difference? I'm always a bit nervous about linking accounts to things like Facebook so I was going to use my Google account if anything.
If you link your MyNintendo account to one of your social media accounts, you don't need to create an independent login. The downside is if that specific social media account gets compromised, then your MyNintendo account is also compromised. On a side note, one of the achievements (which earns you MyNintendo currency) is linking social media accounts, so may end up doing so either way at the end (depends on how much you want 100 Nintendo points, which translates to a Stamina Potion, a Sword refill, or some gems which are used to level up characters).
Thanks for this, what did you guys do? I was thinking about linking to my Google but I might just create an account..
Thanks for the information! Glad to hear that I scored a winner with Takumi. He certainly seems to deal some hefty damage, despite just being level 10. I ran across a beginner's guide which seems to do a pretty good job of explaining most of the systems http://www.polygon.com/fire-emblem-heroes-guide/2017/2/8/14541874/rewards-base-maps-difficulty-battle-dying-summoning-ritual-teams-merge-arena-heroes-tower-quests
I need to upgrade my blue. Effie is tough but she has no range. She moves one square at a time. I have Cordelia and Odin. Any comments on either of those?
Ey couple quick questions. What do feathers do? Also if I have a 4 star can it be upgraded to a 5 star? If so how? Also who heals in this game that's worth taking out into battle? Right now I'm just taking two ranged and two melee. 4 star crimson knight Sully can destroy all in her path on her own though.
As a huge fire emblem fan I like this game but I find 5 quick matches and I'm out of stamina and waiting hours to play again. How does one earn or obtain stamina refills? I hate this monetization strategy of punishing players for playing the game. Is it not enough that we purchase orbs?
To answer your first two questions feathers are used to upgrade your hero's star. Going from 4 to 5 costs 20,000 though

Pretty crazy how many people are just doing rerolls instead actually playing the game... I feel like there isn't that much depth to arena beside hoping to get multiple Takumis
Multiple takumi isn't really a good idea in arena. And arena is actually pretty strategic which is saying a lot since it is versus AI.
Ok, still loving the game, but not loving the orb/stamina system at the higher levels. Also, after several 20 orb summons, I still haven't received a 5* character. I've got a bunch of solid 4s now from summons and some grinding/upgrading, but have no where near enough feathers to upgrade even one to 5*. Am I missing something important to get a 5*?
5* is a massive grind, apparently. http://toucharcade.com/2017/02/09/fire-emblem-heroes-is-running-an-arena-promotion-through-the-end-of-the-month/ From that article: Normally it takes months?! Full explanation from the article:
Really? Is this a surprise to any one here that a game like this was just going to be anything but a grind fest? I mean...really?!
People are exaggerating. Sure it takes 20k feathers to get from 4 to 5 star but that's really not a lot. U can get 20k easily from all the quests(which never end, they just get harder or repeat), u get more feathers from doing arena, and so on. The problem is that people want instant gratification instead of actually working towards something. Those same people will also whine when they are max level with nothing to do.... I find the feather amount perfect, I've raised two units to 5*and have only spent $13 for stones to roll more. Another thing, once u link to a nintendo account u not only get 10 free stones but also earn points for doing quests, at least 1k points, which can buy u 10 stamina refills, arena refills, or crystals to level units. Like I said, people whining for nothing instead of actually enjoying the game. There will always be done type of grind in a social/online rpg, that's a given, but this one treats u pretty fair.
