It sucks! I had this idea myself... wouldn't it be cool if your iphone could have a scale app? yes it would! does this app get the job done... hell no! i bought it despite the 1.5 star review because it was $.99. it ask's you to perfectly balance the phone on your index finger until it zeroes out... then you are supposed to put something on the phone, and the difference in the movement calculates weight according to the dip measured by accelerometer.... i hope that makes sense but this is not a scale :(

it is pretty much impossible to hold your finger perfectly still just to even zero it out. and when you add something needing to be weighed, your finger must perfectly adjust to the increased weight, or it will not read the accurate weight. so imagine someone dropping a nickel on your finger... your finger would have to be like a level, and would have to adjust itself to the weight of the nickel, so that the accelerometer gets the right reading, and measures the right weight. it's frickin' impossible to do/

    pass on this app.

I'm not even sure there is any pressure sensitivity detection in the device itself. Therefore, a scale would be impossible?

I'm pretty sure you don't need a pressure sensing device to do what was described in the post... It's a matter of angle differences, I think, I'm not quiet sure, but something like that.
