Woohoo! So promotion for Finders Keepers hasn't been...um...awesome. I blame myself...I just plain suck at that stuff. However, I did catch a lucky break and got a mention on Mashable this morning!

3 Fresh Apps for Finders, Keepers & Seekers

I'm pretty sure I got lucky to even get a mention but hey I wanted to share the link for submitting your app with all my fellow TA devs.

Not sure if it's already been mentioned but the link/form is here for submitting: http://mashable.com/bizspark/

    Thanks :)

Nice one. Can you tell us if this helped with actual sales?

A percentage increase will do, don't expect hard numbers. Unless you want to of course! :)

This article has just got published, so I'd imagine it would take a little time to see if any word spreads/DLs increase, etc

Good luck and thanks for sending along that submit link too :)

LOL, well if you want to go biking around looking for items at Wi-Fi hotspots...have at it.

The App itself is available WW but it is only in English...since you're here on the boards I'm guessing you're fine with this so give it a try, it's FREE and well if you don't like it...tell me how I can improve it ;)

Well since my App is free I judge my success more on downloads than sales. Sales, of course, are nice but I really just want people to try it out.

So first day numbers (via App Annie reports) are +1220% in downloads, yay.

OK, so this seems huge but really the difference in vague/rough numbers is essentially going from double-digits to triple-digits (in downloads).

So it's not a crazy improvement but I'm completely satisfied for 2 reasons:
    1) Any improvement in exposure is good.
    2) Due to the nature of the App more people trying it out and "dropping" their item only leaves more treasures for others to find. So even if someone tries it and doesn't care for it well at least they've added to the game in some way.

I'll try to follow up with a numbers post for the week. Maybe this will keep up for a couple days :)

Now that a week has passed since the writeup here are some stats...

    Sat: +1220%
    Sun: +950%
    Mon: +687%
    Tues:+154%
    Weds: +80%
    Thurs: +60%

By Friday and Saturday I was back to my normal daily downloads. Again, these stats are from App Annie and to give a rough estimate the initial +1220% is a jump from double-digit downloads to triple-digit downloads (Yep, small time indeed).

So it seems like the write-up pretty much drove downloads/results for the first 3 days and then fell off drastically on the 4th. Still, any additional exposure is a win in my eyes so I'm happy with that. Time to shoot for 4 digit downloads now.

If any other devs have submitted their app to the bizspark link, I wish you luck and hopefully you'll get a mention that drives some exposure and downloads your way as well. ;)

Congrats being mentioned on Mashable! That must be good for the confidence.
