I'm really impressed with this one. So nicely done! I was a little concerned when "Restart the game" popped up at one point after playing for over an hour, with no other option than to tap "Yes." It basically means continue with game, but to me restart means starting from scratch.
The only option in chapter one is to download all chapters, which I did, and it is taking up 1.4gig on my iPad. I am currently just playing chapter one and really liking the game. I imagine when chapter one finishes it will then have a menu with the dlc pricing? I would also like to know before purchasing if the game has been slimmed down, content wise, for the mobile edition. I have not played FFXV on any other platform but from what I read there are a lot of side quests available in the console versions. I would only purchase this version if the side quests remained. EDIT Just read Shauns review. He says that a lot of the quest content has indeed been removed but that makes for a more focused game. Not too sure if I like that. Might wait for some more reviews on the net before spending money. That makes two games in that many hours where I want to spend money on an iOS game but both have negatives......looking at you Warhammer Quest 2. #
So total size is only 1.4 gb all chapters? I thought its 5-8gb or something? Only have 3gb left on my 6s. Also good to know it works on 10.3
works on my co-workers iPad mini 2nd gen. App Store says compatible. In game it says it isn’t. But he hasn’t had any problems playing it so far. Edit : after the internal download, it crashes continuously.
It still shows a greyed our preorder button for me. Cant download. Its now 1 am on the 7th pacific time. Anyone else on pacific time still unable to download?

Same here, on a 6+ with iOS 10.3; why even allow you the download just to pull the rug from under you? Extremely frustrated and depressed now
Cant believe it dropped a day early! I agree with the above hope it has the side quests and fishing and all that I like the graphics reminds me of Zelda
those still having trouble downloading might want to try cancelling their preorder. Guess that was what worked for me. Just google ios cancel preorder and you will find the official instructions from apple, as the process is a bit hidden in your iphones settings menu. Game is as great as I hoped btw #

Havent figured out how to purchase anything yet I watched the intro now at the menu and there is an option to download all chapters and I did that but it never asked me to buy it Oh well gonna play it and figure that out later on
When they say “high resolution version” in the app description, I presume they mean assets specific to iPads and whatnot? Has anyone found a way to download any additional assets other than just downloading chapters? Game is effing incredible!
Does it autosave? Only wish I could change tap to virtual controls outside of that like it so far and I’m getting used to that cuz you can drag the character rather than tap if you choose to It does autosave just accidentally closed it and it autosaved so yay ha
All I can do is download assets related to extra chapters no purchase maybe it comes after finishing chapter 1 only thing I can figure right now Freaking awesome game I like the graphics on this version better So far really like it
