Universal FINAL FANTASY VII (by SQUARE ENIX INC)

EP! the memories are flooding back of how many hours i spent with this game on psx back in the day i was a senior in high school ROFL....when i worked at Eb games someone tried to trade it in for pc and we did not take it and he just gave it to me and it even has the original brady games pc strategy guide which i never used but its awesome i still have it....

not sure if you answered back yet in the FC yet but whats download size and install size???? need to know how much to free up to download

 

So for those who have played the iOS port....what rating would you give the game....7/10, 8/10, 9/10, 10/10 and please provide your reason for the score.

 

I dnot think I ever actually played any ff game until number 8 for some reason even though my friends were playing them and saying how good they are. So I'll have to pick this one up and play it finally.

 

Nope.

 

A 10/10 for me, mostly coz of the full MFi support. Would be a 9/10 without it.

 

Screw it... not waiting for impressions, videos or thoughts on the port.

1.8 gb installed. Not sure how much it really needed to be able to download as i had over 6gb free when i did.

 

Does the game has analog movement or just 8 directions like the original?

 

Everything is in fast forward except maybe the combat. The combat felt the same as the original, but it could be a bit faster and im unable to detect it by feel.

 

Same as the original's 8-way movement, but it supports the MFi controller's analog stick.

The virtual buttons have options to use either dpad or invisible floating vstick.

Also, forgot to mention this. There is a button for "No Encounters". Havent tried it, but im assuming there wont be random battles with that turned off.

 

Hmm, thanks. This coupled with no touch command for battles (kind of surprising considering every other FF game had that) means I'm better off just playing the game on emulator.

 

Thanks for the clarification....hopefully a gameplay video will be uploaded to the boards soon so I can get a sense of how jarring this change in speed is.

Btw.. the materia system is the most amazing invention since sliced bread.

 

Thanks E-P for the impressions. I don't get why they didn't include touch controls, since 99% of the Rpgs, from crappy ones to FF ports have it.
I was waiting for this one, but not for an emulated port with all the onscreen button clutter, that i can already play. pffff, i'm pissed at you Squenix...

 

I read that you need about 4gig to install.

 

I did miss the stream....how can I view it at this point?

 

I was wonderful the same thing. I've managed to put an hour or two into the vita with it but if the iOS version is enhanced I'd have to buy it I think.
