Yeah I played that but never really remember about the game and never finished it either it did not leave any impression Come on bring in FF VIII for next year The triple triad is kinda a teaser for ff VIII
The only sad thing is if square had the resources to do this port to make it more touch friendly etc. it prob would have ran better on the world map and display. Other than that I'm happy I can bust this game out on my 1 hour commute home from work.
The speed glitch is funny. The game play is good enough but I really wish I could tap around the menus to equip stuff.... How are they not gonna make that an option? I love this game so so much....
It actually throws me off how the start menu is touch and everything else isn't. I'm always expecting to use the dpad when I start the game up..
It's a wrapper around the main game.. They didnt even want to touch the menu inside.. Like putting the iCloud saving into the save.. Instead u need to restart the app to access it.. Shaun was very generous in giving it a 4 star while I feel the most it deserves is 3.. A lot of stuffs are broken in the game.. You can't do certain things because of the controls.. That's like the core thing of a game.
I didn't feel like the marching section was any worse than it was in the PSX version. That minigame is just a pain in the butt anywhere. But I do admit that I'm often fine with touch/virtual controls while others around me are having issues.
My only issue is the lag on the world map anyways at the end of the day we all can play final fantasy 7 on our iPhones. I think people are upset because when you played other final fantasy game in full screen nice touch controls too and then you get this awesome game with garbage touch that what hurts.
Yeah, not a fan of this version. There are so many better things they could have done, in the hands of a fresh developer who isn't sick of porting FFVII (which I'm sure everyone at Squeenix are).
Well me personally, I can overlook the controls, they aren't that bad all said and done, this version just gets five stars for nostalgia reasons alone! And yes, I have played the PC and PSP version before. I am seven and a Bit hours in, just got onto the world map, not too laggy really on my iPad 3.
out of all the final fantasy games I played on my phone FF7 definitely is the best one I ever played. the one I played the most before this was probably FF4 and I deleted around the time I got Cecil to become a white knight. i don't know what it is lol but this game is making me hooked it's taken up all my free time. im only 7 hours and at Shinra HQ im having a blast.

Anyone done the mini quests? The marching totally flop manage to get 6 potions and this barely getting this materia after like 10 tries. Something is wrong with the pace
The one thing I hate about FF IV is the rainbow pudding.... Totally RNG kiled >2000 of those jelly enemy but not a single one drop rainbow pudding I totally out that game on hold and play FF VII now
I believe it is S2. The small button in the middle on the right side of the screen. You can pause during any battle I think.
I got the hp plus materia (90 score) in 1 try and most of the time but i'll keep re trying to get 100
