And... No one talked about that but : isnt the no encounter button a marvelous thing if you feel like doing one of those "low level" runs ?
Speaking of the "no encounters" button...I'm not sure if anyone else ran into this issue: During the part at Aeris's house right before she takes Cloud to sector 7 you have to go upstairs and rest before Aeris takes you to Sector 7. When you try to "sneak" out by walking (no running) Cloud automatically starts running for some reason. I thought my finger was just slipping off the touchscreen control but the same thing happened using a MFi controller. I couldn't get past this part without selecting the "no encounters" option to "on" and afterwards I was able to run right past Aeris' room. Just an FYI, in case anyone else ran into that issue.
Not sure if the encounters toggle has anything to do with it, but at default i was just able to RUN outside as sneaking doesnt work. Either way, it's glitched.
That's exactly the case. You can simply run out without holding anything or doing anything special. It's something SE clearly overlooked when they changed Cloud's default to running over walking. In that part of the game, the code is basically looking for whether or not you're holding the "run" button. If you're holding it, you fail. If you're not, you pass. The problem in the iOS version is that the "run" button is now the "walk" button. You don't have to hold 'A' or turn off encounters or press up + A + B when the Pokeball wiggles the second time - you just have to run out without touching anything. Kind of a hilarious bug once you know what to do, but yes, Square should probably fix it quickly.
I think it's kind of funny that probably the people that get stuck here (like me) are the ones that have played it before. If this is your first time you might just run across without even thinking about it.
Hey so I registered just to reply about being stuck in the room. Just tap the directional button, wait a sec and repeat. Don't hold the walk button. I passed it that way. You should be fine
It's just such a melancholy game on the whole. It's been a while since I played the whole thing through, and I'm kind of struck at how many honest, sad moments there are in the game. The main plot is silly, twisty stuff, but when it slows down to get introspective, that's where it really shines, I think.
Hey guys I manage to reproduce the issue on fast running.. Apparently it's affected by music playing in the background from another app say apple music. In order to fix this make sure u run ff7 first then turn on the other music app. The problem will go away
This game should run well on iPhone 4s too, it's a 20 years old game, that runs on a ps1, otherwise is a very bad conversion! On my iPhone 6 no problem, game runs smooth!
The part where you have to dress Cloud up as a girl is just all kinds of weird how it's handled with the dialogue and everything.
U will rage quit when u found out like 1 or 2 hours later because u didn't check the drawer with 5 gils u can't get the limited edition ether!!!!
