I gave it a spin on both iPad Air and iPhone 6+ last night. It looks better on iPad Air (no blue bars). But it's easier to "right hand it" on the iPhone 6+ just because of device width. It is a floating d-pad, so that part is nice, where you put your finger down and it's right underneath. On iPhone 6+, I was able to play right-handed, albeit a little awkwardly, because I could get the floating d-pad butted up closely to the right side buttons. I haven't gotten far enough into the game for the other buttons on the top left/right (L1/L2, R1/R2). Also -- there are 4 different types of configurations for buttons, but mostly they just scoot them in a little (maybe Type B is best for you) to be narrower or wider. I haven't even played on my MFi controller yet, as it was fairly okay without it -- at least for me. Hope this helps!
I'm having trouble restoring from iCloud so I can play on both my iPhone and my iPad. I started on my iPad and now when trying to connect to iCloud on my phone, it fails to connect so I am unable to play on both devices. Anyone have any tips to get it to work?
Did u turn on iCloud drive on both devices? Make sure ff7 is slide to on. And both devices on same firmware?
The worst porting of the best final fantasy! I believe that capcom programmers were lazy but these beat all!!
Why do I have a feeling you haven't even played the port yet? I wonder how many more people are going to whine and complain about the blue bars.
it is. I had it on PSP too, but way too small and the screen quality is horrible compared to new iphones I wasn't sure about the screen ratio issue, but I also have an iPad Air so I went on and bought it. Of course its looks better on Ipad and that's where I play the most of it. But then I have it also on iphone 6 and I'm able to play it in short sessions when I'm out and I love it. The lack of full screen doesn't bother me as much as I though, and I think it's better than playing on a PSP. About the game: I am madly in love with it again. This is my first re-run since the original release which I played for over 120 hours when I was in my last teenage years. As I progress again in the story I get this deja vu feelings, memories from my past surface, it's like time travelling. I'm sure new and younger gamers won't get the same experience as I do. But this is an epic adventure nonetheless and it's worth every hours you spend on it. Trust me on this one.
I have logged about 1 hour or so into the game.. Still not far as I restarted at least 3 times after reading the faqs. I have played this game back when it was released on pc never completed it can't beat sephiroth.. Anyway back to this game.. I somewhat feel the controls are no good.. Never mind the graphics, it looks better on my iPhone 5s than on iPad air 2.. They look blurry.. I am OK with that.. The game is so old. However the controls.. I think this game would play perfectly on iPad mini. Light and probably won't be as blurry. On my iPad after an hour or so my thumbs are numb from the constant pressing and holding ipaf. I know they probably can't do much on that. Anyway there's something the dev need to fix! The iCloud save. Please put it on the save menu somewhere where I can access it.. It makes sense I wanna upload to iCloud after saving it.. Now I can't!! I need to restart the damn game to do it.. That's not nice!!!
Okay soooooo. The first day I had this game, it wasn't fast forwarded. Today, it's super duper fast except for battles. It's... Uhh... Unsettling. Is there a fix?
What device is this on? My retroarch emulator looks nothing like that with the buttons. The buttons are all like red blue yellow etc like an old snes. Also mine has the screen skewed a bit. And what retroarch version if you know? That screen looks surprisingly good, and is not the retroarch that I know.
Retroarch is a multi emulator for jailbroken devices, mostly known for being able to emulate ps1 and n64
