Someone wrote an article to compare its price with other platforms. http://www.geek.com/games/final-fantasy-vii-is-three-times-more-expensive-on-ios-than-on-consoles-1631756/ Thought-provoking, or simply complaining?
It has a PC version that got rereleased on Steam, so I imagine it will be coming next summer or something. FF9's where the trolley stops, unfortunately. I don't think they can just emulate the PlayStation without some kind of deal with Sony, and FF9 had no other release. So unless they bucked the trend by keeping the original assets around, we probably won't ever see FF9 anywhere but on Sony's platforms. FFX, on the other hand, could probably happen... once hardware moves forward a little.
FF8 was my first FF8 and one of my favorites. I'd buy that instantly. FF8 is what made me go and pick up 7. FF7/8 are basically my gateway drugs into the FF series FF8 would look stunning on mobile as the graphics were heavily updated compared to FF7 at the time. I would also love a full remake of FF8 one of these days...
@Edmilan: I hope you get your FF7. This game is seriously so much fun. It's been years playing it and the battle system is one of the best ever made. Btw, I'm experimenting this time around with cover materia / counter materia since I didn't do it much before. Is there any use to having multiple cover materia, or maybe one on each member? I suppose it's redundant but I wonder if there are any super combinations. Otherwise I won't invest into leveling 3 covers and just level 1 cover materia.
In FF7 specifically, I haven't beaten any of the weapons.. I usually approach the weapons if I want to quickly kill myself lol. I beat FF7 a couple times but I was never super hardcore. You need to be hardcore into it to beat any of the weapons.
It sure is... My favorite is the series even, especially for that soundtrack, easily the best sound track ive ever had in a video game besides Baten Kaitos : Eternal Wings and the Last ocean on the gamecube.
Agreed 8 is the best to me and one I have played most. I used to switch between 7 and 8 on my PS1 and 2 all the time cuz I liked both but in the end I played 8 more and hope it comes out soon too in the meantime enjoying the triple Triad game. the making of that games leads me to believe we will see 8 on IOS.
Yeah, FF9 is probably my favorite too. After seeing my friend play a bunch of FF7, I ended up buying FF9 years later, thinking it was the one my friend played. But when it wasn't, I didn't care. I was mesmerized. Bought the soundtrack soon after. Still haven't finished either. FF9 runs great through emulation, so if they ever release it on PC, I'd imagine we'll see it on mobile eventually.
i love this game and to be honest, would have still bought it if the screen was the size of a postage stamp (bad i know) cos i have a hughe FF addiction, anything square really, but the borders on iphone version are a bit distracting and i wish the screen ratio could be altered as they did in 4 on iphone, i an still lovin this game though even with the borders #
