Buttons Sure, it's a touch of a bummer that they went emulator style on the buttons instead of building touch access across the app, but everything works well enough. Some additional configuration options (e.g. disabling certain buttons) would have been appreciated, but this is nitpicking. Opacity can be reduced and as for me, I don't 'see' them once I'm engrossed in the game unless I'm looking for them. Design is fine, toofaint outlines *should* be what buttons are, and at least A is bigger. Sidebars This is *not* a remake. This may only make complete sense with a programming background, but to fill different sizes devices requires that an extensive range of new development be done (to add background and content to fill the expanded area). Would you prefer no FFVII? SE has usually addressed this with decorative sidebars (a touch distracting, in my opinion) or by offering the option to stretch game content (no harm in offering this for people who don't mind distorted gameplay, but I didn't see the option). Again, for me, once engrossed in the game I don't 'see' the sidebars. Game Breaking Bug Mentioned above, this is unfortunate. I'm not there yet, but walk/run *does* work perfectly on my iPhone 6 so far. Cheating "I won't play because I know I'll cheat, and I know that will ruin the game!" Learn to control yourself? It's optional, and very much geared for people who want to cut any challenge in progression from the game.
So how long between saves. I read not long ago that auto saves are not working? Is that a bug? And currently roughly how long between save points?
AND the biggest problem of all with playing this version on our phones... Lack of saving! We can't save at any point like most emulators AND I can't get auto save to do anything, let alone save. Have you been able to have it auto save for you when you quit the app? If love to know if I'm missing something.
Not at all. It's actually quite a silly question on its own It has manual icloud upload and retrieval so that's a nice feature and the only one that needs internet connection.
I would just like to point out that Auto-save will work, once you're out on the world map. It is explained in the help section online. The auto-save can only work where saving is enabled. So once on the world map, coming out of battles or towns will auto-save. Also on ios 8.1 I don't have the hyper speed problems, it works perfectly.
That is great news! So, we just have to power through the beginning from save point to save point, and we'll eventually be able to not worry about it as much? Thanks for the info! And on 8.4 I had a couple screens where everything moved super fast, but apart from those couple of screens it has been fine. Really weird that it would only affect a couple spots, though.
I figured out how to get downstairs in Aeris's house without making a sound....I held the S1 and S2 buttons down and I was able to somehow run across the hall and down the stairs. I left her house, saved and now the game is directing me to go toward the sector 6 slums alone. I haven't played this game in several years so I don't remember if this is supposed to happen next or if it is a glitch.
I don't own an iPhone 5c, but the app description recommends at least an iPhone 5s, or "unforeseen errors may occur".
Correction....I just reloaded my original save file and tried to leave the bedroom in Aeris's house undetected again. The S1 and S2 buttons are not needed like I originally mentioned. You can just run out of the room and down the hallway and the stairs....no creaking of the floor boards? If you walk the creaking seems to occur. I don't know but the scenario seems fine to me, no glitch. I am using an IPhone 6 and IOS 8.4.
LOL....i just passed it, you guys forgot how to pass it...all you do is switch to d pad mode and just tap a little bit at a time dont even need to hold b...if i remember correctly you had to do this on the psx too...so just tap it bit by bit and you will leave the house lol....if i recall the analog sticks did not work in ff7 you had to rotate camera with the l and r buttons.
