That law, where it's ok if you own the original, only applies to direct copies like ROM's or a burned DVD. In this case, since Squeenix modified the underlying gameplay as well as remastered the majority of the graphics, it acts as a separate product. This also renews the copyright.
Was this game released in North America on the super nintendo? Trying to figure out if I've played this one already.
I've changed my country already. The App Store never charged me again. All it says is that "this update is free" and I get to download it normally. If you email the support they'll say that your purchase is valid only on the country you made it though.
OMG!!!! YESSSSSSSSS!!!! Shazam!!!!!! Yahoooooooo!!!!!! Powers out at work because of this ice storm. With luck, I'll go home early and play this.
What are you talking about. The iOS port has nothing to do what we are discussing. What L.Lawlie was talking about was playing the GBA version in a illegal manner. back on topic. I really like the new UI.
I wonder how difficult it is going to be to pull off some of Sabin's combo moves? If I remember correctly some of them were 6 and 7 button combos. Should be fun since I haven't played the game in about 18 years.
Originally I was worried about Sabin too but I really like the appearance of how they implemented Sabin's combo moves on Android touch screen.
He likes to post the newly released threads when they come out in NZ. If he admits he won't post threads based on his own bias how is that helping other people make their own decisions man...
Say what you will about nostalgia, and love for original sprites, and wahhh mommy I want my snes/gba version, you can't deny they did a pretty good job updating the graphics in this game. Look at the backgrounds, and lighting, yah the menu portraits are a little weird looking, but at least all of the in game sprites don't look all stretched out like they used to.
