Curious to hear from first time players what they think/thought of the game. I can only wish I could play a game this good at this age rather than as a kid when I couldn't appreciate it. Any first timers beaten it yet want to share your thoughts?
Just a random question but I have the GBA version of this but haven't played that yet. If anyone has played both versions, which one do you think I should play the full game on.. GBA or iOS? Thanks!
Is there anyway to sync iCloud without manually upload or download? Sometimes u forget and u can't have the latest updates
I'm also still on the fence. My experience with this type of games started with FFVII which blew me away as a kid. One of the best if not THE best gaming experiences in my life. The re-releases of part I to V didn't interest me at all. I simply didn't feel that attracted. But if the characters are really great, and the story really is touching and involving, then I might stop to resist.
This game a bit confusing.. I am stuck early in the game.. I am in figaro castle.. After the clown threatened and left the castle I have a quest to follow Locke.. How do I find him.. I followed him outside and got slaughtered by those ransoms.. No fun at all
It's hard to say without knowing what was so compelling about FF7 to you. Obviously 7 is is very different graphically. Although the 3d sprites are blocky and ugly by today's standards, the pre rendered backgrounds are still very good. FF6 is more alike to the earlier entries in the series graphically. In the terms of setting and plot, 6 really set the stage for 7. It has some steampunk design elements and the whole idea of technology clashing with magic and knights began with 6 and was carried over to 7. I guess if what was turning you off of the earlier entries was the fantasy elements, the knights, kings, dragons, etc. this game should be more appealing. The magicite of 6 is similar to the materia of 7. Using magicite is akin to summons... There are a lot of similarities in gameplay. I would think if the others weren't appealing to you, this still might not be. It would have the best chance though.
Don't leave the castle. Go out the door on the left. A very short distance further and you will see another entrance into a wing of the castle. Meet him in there.
Ahh I tried to pull the "run this app in io6 trick" but the game crashes at the world map. Darn so close. I guess I'll stick to the GBA one for now..
I would explain to you but I've already done it numerous times so I'd rather you just type that in on google and see the legitamate complaints on ios7. If we talked about it here there might be a giant debate and we'd go off topic. I think most people that say "you should update" or "it's ridiculous to not update" are people with iphone5+ (highest end devices) and people who have the newest devices with ios7 already on it. Correct me if I'm wrong but ipad air comes standard with ios7 does it not? So you haven't upgraded actually.
There are many reasons not to, but as someone with the highest of the high end devices you simply wouldn't understand. Needless to say, if I had the option of staying in iOS6, I would have. iOS7 has been awful for me.
I actually recently updated my iPhone 4 to iOS 7 for another game (Collosatron) -- no issues personally with it.
Have you been able to make FFVI work on any GBA (or SNES) emulator? Because it has been no dice for me. I should note that I have absolutely no problems with this port and would have definitely still bought it even if I could make the game work on a GBA or SNES emulator.
Actually I have iOS7 running on my 16gb 4s and 3 iPad2's of various sizes with no issues. They require a bit of tweaking but they work great with iOS7. I cannot play this game on my iPad3 without it stuttering HORRIBLY though. It also isn't that smooth on any of my iPad2's or 4s. However my Nexus 7 (2012) plays it super smooth. WTH Squeenix, fix your game! It's 2D how can it run like such garbage on the iDevices??
Hmm? The GBA and SNES versions of FF6 are fully playable with the GBA and SNES emulators available for iOS. Obviously I can't link to it here, but there's a patched version of FFVI Advance that improves the music and colouring. It's an excellent version to play if you don't want to bother with this one.
