Hey i have a question.. i can only buy one.. final fantasy 3 or tactics.. (because se didnt put ff3 on sale ) but which one should i get?? i need help.. Ive never played either one.. but i heard there both pretty cool.. im kind of a hardcore gamer so something that is not to easy..
Wow, the nostalgia factor is definitely with this game. I'm enjoying it, but it's not without its quirks, particularly the random slowdowns (which is much better than the PSP version, but still not as good as the original PSX) and blurry text. However, the translated wonderfully, and the controls are actually pretty decent. Definitely going to keep playing this and enjoying the memories.
I don't think it would be a bad idea, it is a tactical type of game but there is a great story to be told, so if you like adventure, tons of different abilities and characters then you might enjoy this.
Well FFT is more like Fire Emblem style play with RPG elements (I think), while FF3 is just a straight up RPG. Correct me if I'm wrong, someone who knows better.
I'm having some weird issues syncing the app to my device, so I probably won't be able to help you out. Sorry. Hopefully someone else can figure out if it has Japanese support. Edit: I finally got it to work. Looks like there is not an option for Japanese language. I don't think it does, based on this image of the jobs in the game. I'm not sure how it works in GBA since I haven't played through it much, but in WotL you basically get JP along with XP whenever you attack or cast a spell. Then, after battles, you can spend the JP to unlock the abilities you want. If you want something hardcore and more difficult, definitely go for Final Fantasy Tactics. FF3 is pretty easy honestly.
The story is way better, the cutscenes are amazing, the music is 1000x better than Advance tactics, the AI difficulty is lot more challenging. @SkyMuffin The GBA Tactics version does have a job point system for abilities, it works differently, different pieces of gear level up and unlock spells, the Advance version also has Judge rules as well.
Being a total dork but also an optimist I looked up SE's last sale. When FF3 came out the sale did not begin until the following day so I'd advise waiting if you decide on 3. Obviously no guarantees but don't want to jump the gun if there is a sale.
FF3 is way hardcore. It is an nes game after all. A lot of rpg contrivances exist that will frustrate many. Still a fun little game, I'd say 7-7.5 out of 10.
It won't run, only 3rd Generation+ is supported Update: The Sale on Square Enix Games is coming- Secret of Mana just dropped 23%, expect others to follow
for you 'noobs' out there. after the first battle or 2. when your at the main screen, turn off the notifications and allow menu 'clicking' or w/e it's called. and turn up text speed to fast and what not. Speed stuff up!
Does anyone have it on 3GS? How's it? been thinking about picking it up but I want to save it for the ipad version so yeah how is it?
Call me crazy but I have zero interest in this game. Never liked it on the PSX. Every battle took ages.
Could you confirm whether or not you set your iPhone language to Japanese and started the game? I found a lot of games will play according to the language you set the iPhone to. Could you set it to Japanese and try and let me know if that puts it in it's proper language?
Lols Somehow i doubt this game will be going on sale 2 hours after release worldwide...... Those other games are probably on sale to celebrate....
That's his point..a SE sale of older games comes with every new release. Looks like FFIII won't be going on sale after all.
