I thought iCloud saves were locked onto the app that created them, as in no sharing of save data between apps... Has that changed?
Do you mean an iPhone cloud save can't transfer to an iPad cloud save when the apps are not universal? If so, I don't think so. I'm sure I've seen apps with separate versions have iCloud options. I hope, at least. Otherwise I will have to play the iPhone version on my iPad, leaving the iPad version by the wayside.
Is there actually a native ipad 4 app for this game? I keep getting shown the iphone version on the app store :/

Watch the videos. It's considered a classic and the pinnacle of turn based role playing. The interface is a bit clunky in comparison to the newer games, but the depth of the story is beyond what the current generation of mobile games can offer. The visuals and the various production values are stunning. The game oozes awesomeness. I can't recommend it highly enough if you like tbs. nothing on iOS comes close to the polished product offered here. Outrager Well-Known Member Sep 14, 2012 130 0 0 #930 Outrager, Jun 12, 2013 So I got the iPhone version to play on my iPad mini since there's iCloud support. The text is kind of blurry in 2x mode so I bought RetinaPad and that made it much sharper. I got to the first save spot and saved to my iCloud spot and the next day my save was gone. I redid the start and saved to the iCloud and local spot, but haven't gone back to see if it worked this time. The game is a little confusing without a manual. I wish they had an in-game tutorial since I tend to opt out of optional tutorials. I kind of just set all my characters to auto Berserk and let them fight. Seems to have worked in the first 2 battles. If I have time and want to get back into the game I might read a FAQ or look to see if there's a PDF of the manual somewhere. I'm not really digging the Old English style dialog. Ausar Well-Known Member Jun 2, 2012 823 0 16 BCN #931 Ausar, Jun 12, 2013 there is a tutorial in the game... Plus youtube has complete walkthroughs and tutorials on every aspect of the game since its based off of both the original PS1 title and the PSP version. And like Ausar mentioned there is a complete tutorial in-game, it can be accessed from the title screen if you press on the word Tutorial. Sad thing is this game isn't too friendly with zerg play. You hit a point near the end of Ch. 2 where it's play smart or go home. Or completely break the game by grinding out levels before continuing the story. andsoitgoes Well-Known Member Jun 30, 2010 2,673 58 48 In a van, down by the river! #933 andsoitgoes, Jun 12, 2013 So just to confirm, I won't be able to, even when the iCloud issue is fixed, coordinate between the iPad and iPhone version? jamesmcadams82 Well-Known Member Sep 4, 2012 85 2 8 #934 jamesmcadams82, Jun 12, 2013 The iCloud feature has worked fine for me for the last few days, and it does sync between the iPhone and iPad versions. The only issue I worry about is the accounts that purchased the games are different. But I see cloud saves on the devices, it doesn't seem to work. Should I start the game on my phone and move to the iPad? I don't know. I'm flummoxed. I killed it back in the day on PS, now I can't even beat the 3rd story mission, my party is getting wiped after the 3rd turn! It's really freakin frustrating. I do not remember ever having such a hard time with this game on console L.Lawliet Well-Known Member Jun 28, 2011 6,405 420 83 #939 L.Lawliet, Jun 20, 2013 ^ Time to start grinding for skill points. That's what I did. You'll get decimated in the early game if you don't. Afterwards it doesn't get much easier but it levels out. On the beginning if you're not equipped well your character is basically bare bones. onewithchaos Well-Known Member Apr 16, 2009 1,405 0 0 California #940 onewithchaos, Sep 27, 2013 But grinding out levels is A LOT of fun!!!!!!!!! That's how you're able to unlock some of the other character classes....if anything I'd say that the grinding balances out by starting a new class (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
