You can already view all the past cutscene in game through Menu (on world map) >Chronicles > Events.

    Chemist 2 > White Mage 3 > Mystic 3 > Orator
Full job tree for this version can be found here.

Hope you're mocking him, he probable got mad at wiegraf fight, anyways FFTA is FAR inferior to FFT and emulating is downright garbage.

Cloud definitely isn't amazing, you likely won't use him unless you loved FF7, he is very easy to unlock though, just be sure to buy the flower girls flower when you reach that part in the main storyline and he is pretty much yours.

    There's a funny bug regarding Poacher's Den.

Upon finishing the game, you'll be prompted by the game that new items are now available via the Poacher's Den.

Sure, I went and checked it out, bought most of them, then had it equipped. Later on, I decided to check it out again just in case I missed anything, only to find out that the items I bought were placed there again, as if the stock was unlimited. The stock goes +1 each visit you do to Poacher's Den.

Quite a game breaking bug, if I must say.

How can you "break the game" after it's over? Is this tongue in cheek?

Oh, sorry. Reason I said that because I havent finished midlight's deep yet. And I was planning to finish it after getting the items from the Den.

Not a game breaking bug, I guess. Just for the case above. :p

I'm quite glad for this "bug", otherwise every time an enemy knight "Rented" any of my equipment I would have to restart that battle.

Anyway, I've finished Midlights Deep (I used a guide. If you do it without a guide and find all items you are a god or an uber nerd). I also trained my first dark knight. Contrary to the guides in the iOS version you do not need to crystallize 20 enemies only learn all spells for those 2 classes (knight and Black Mage)

You only need to master Knight and Black Mage to get Dark Knight? Don't you have to level up Samurai, Dragoon, Geomancer, and Ninja, too?

I already finished it back in PSX, and just plan to do it again on the iOS. And yup, I plan to use a guide as well. Finding all the items there without a guide.. is like what you just said. Either you're a god, or an uber nerd.

Regarding Dark Knight, I got mine early in Chapter 3. However, I cannot really confirm what you said regarding unlocking it since I went mastering Knight, hitting level 8 on the four classes, then mastering Black Mage.. and since I usually grind by crystallizing most of my enemies (leaving one), I cannot clarify whether you need to crystallize 20 enemies or not as well.

Yeah you need level 8 Samurai, Dragoon, Geomancer, and Ninja but you also need to Master Knight and Black Mage. I believe that contrary to the PSP version, you don't need to crystallize 20 enemies, only learn all skills for knight and Black Mage. I will confirm this later when I get my second dark knight (See if I need to crystallize 20 enemies.)

I am *really* not trying to start up a flame war or rile anyone up but I do have a question I have been wondering about while playing (and greatly enjoying) FFT:WotL.

I've noticed on the SquareEnix DLG Facebook page that so many people are absolutely horrible to SE about this game, making claims about how "awful" a port it is, how bad the controls are, etc. I haven't noticed that attitude nearly as much in the TA forums.

Would someone who has been a SE fan for a long time and would consider themselves perhaps somewhat of an "expert" on these games explain what the deal is? Yes, I certainly understand the frustration people have with some of the lag in the combat menus of the game, but they are not at all "game breaking" to me and not that big of a deal. With the exception of that one very minor annoyance I have been enjoying the hell out of this game and I'm starting to feel that it may be one of my favorite games of all time (perhaps even top 10) and I've been playing video, computer, and arcade games since I was a kid in the '70s.

I never played SE games before (just didn't have a console to play them on and kind of ended up missing out on them the first time around) but I just don't get what the deal is with SE "fans"? Are they always that whiny or am I just not understanding something due to not having grown up with SE games? They seem like huge complainers and I can't help but think that I'm somehow not playing the same FFT game that they are?

    Just wondering...

    Oh, exactely my thoughts...
Despite having already finished the game some times ago, I'm still playing it on my iPhone (doing Deep Midnight and searching for some special gears), and still enjoying it immensely, more than any other RPG on the AppStore for sure.

The sad thing is that with all this bad advertising about the game and the port....many people would not buy it (missing an incredible gem imho, possibly the best triple A game on the AppStore, despite the shortcomings) and I really do not think Square Enix will be committed to support title like this in the future...
I was really hoping to see Tactics Ogre receive the very same treatment, but I'm really not counting on it now.

Well the PSP version is considered a better port, is cheaper on PSN and also has multiplayer which the iPhone version excludes. I think people just expected a more polished port for the relatively high price they were paying.

I did actually enjoy the iPhone version a lot, but I can see why people would be annoyed by the port.

I am a longtime SquareEnix fan, and I'm really not disappointed at all by this port. It honestly doesn't look bad, and once you get used to the controls it plays fine. Some of the complaints about slowdown or performance might be from people who own 2nd gen devices, since it does run pretty slowly on them. Even on my 4th gen, however, the lack of retina isn't an issue.

As far as I'm concerned, it was well worth the $15 to get the new cutscenes that weren't in the PSX version. And much faster loading/saving (it really added up in the PSX version). Not to mention the portability without the slowdown of the PSP version. I think some people are just silly.

I've also heard about the SE fans' complaints. I think the reason behind this is that SE has more ports than new games out there. An SE fanatic would flip out at the sight of the word "port" because of this, even though it's on a newer platform. From my point of view, they have abnormally high expectations of SE.

@Muffin: Also, the PSP version of WOTL has the same content as the iDevice version and very fast loading times as well. The slowdown isn't that bad either.

No, the loading times on PSP are very slow compared to the loading times on iPhone 4. The slowdown is more or less similar, but from what I see, the iPhone 4 still has the edge.

What part of the game are you talking about? I haven't had any problems with resuming the game where I was last at when I left the game - even in the middle of battles.
