I agree here. It would be balanced if everyone had the same abilities...but just because everyone has +10000 dmg spells doesn't mean it is fun or strategic. I think it would be good as a new, separate thing. Kind of like Tactics Arena Online, with its own new balance.
Apologies for being a bit off topic, but; What do people think the chances are of FFIII going on sale when War of the Lions is released? Was planning on buying FFIII today (actually I have been for a long time but can't decide between the iPhone/iPod touch version or the iPad version - leaning toward iPad, would anyone suggest otherwise?) and am fine paying the full 16.99/17.99AUD for it, would just feel a bit cheated if it were on sale a day or two later.
I'll say wait a week if you can. There is a good chance square might put other apps on sale once tactics goes live.
No worries! I'm in the same boat and plan on picking it up when FFT comes out. I believe that its very likely to go on sale then.
Did anybody play multi in FFTA? It really wasn't that much fun haha. Anyway, as this is a port of a PSP port/refresh of a PSX title that was closely patterned off of a SNES game, none of which were designed with balanced multiplayer in mind, I don't consider the lack of that feature a surprise at all. Ha, run-on sentence much?
Well, in my opinion the War of the Lions' multiplayer mode was very entertaining, and I only had one person to play it against.
Here's to Square Enix releasing this immediately on approval and not playing silly "wait till Wednesday for no apparent reason" games!
