Awesome! I really love FF6, and someday hope it gets the treatment that FF4 did for the DS, a remake would be great! The opera house scene is one of my favorites from any RPG, ever!
Lol Jul20th? Then Dec... Then next spring... Etc etc. This seems to have taken way longer than it should have!!! Still excite though.
Can't wait for it to get released, but I'm disappointed it has no multiplayer :-( Really hope they'll add it later, but doubt they will :-s
I am not condemning you or anyone else that is disappointed in the lack of multiplayer, I am just very surprised at the amount of people who even care about that aspect of it! The multi in any SRPG, especially FFT, has always felt very inconsequential and tacked on, it just never interested me. I think for me, FFT has always been a single player experience. I just hope the public outcry turns a light on in SE's brain that says that adding content to FFT might not be such a bad idea after all.
I highly doubt that outcries for additional content will be obeyed. The only game that I have seen Square Enix even promise to update was the new Chaos Rings game. Every other one of their games has just had small additions and bug fixes. EDIT: I also couldn't really care less about multiplayer for this game. I don't really pick up any game in this genre for a great multi-player experience.

Similar; I understand Square re-worked the graphics and interface some for iOS but it should be similar (sans multiplayer).

If it's not out soon I highly doubt I'll be buying this. I love FF games but with all the awsome games coming soon this is really starting to lose my interest. Not to mention the price range which will most likely be around 20 bucks. I'm all for supporting great developers but honestly if it's not out this month there's is no way in heaven I am going to pay more than $8 for this game. Period.
It says on the IGN page the release date is Q2 2011. May not be RD, but it looks pretty darn close to the PSP version. I just remember the PSP version having a lot of that 'smooth' effect. Looks great, though. Is this going to be universal too, btw? This would be awesome on ipad... if I owned an ipad.
I'm still interested in this game.. it just needs to come out very soon... I can't remember how long I've been waiting for this...
