Tactics Ogre titles belong to Squrenix now.Just bought it for my psp 3 weeks ago(finished twice)-one of best game ever played.Very good remake. About FF3 story not even close to FFT or Tactics Ogre and core mechanics are veeeeery old(its same old game with just better graphics-some will like it though). Anyway will be great to have it on my iphone instead of carrying that "brick psp". Have good fun guys.
While I don't think Squeenix is going to add any new content (or at least they haven't announced it), I think adding new characters as DLC would be pretty cool. If they had quests to obtain them like the extra characters already in the game, I would definitely pay a buck or two for a new character that is unique. If any new characters were just clones or replacement characters (I'm looking at you, Balthier), I would not be as interested.
I highly doubt they'll add new content, since the game is a direct port of the PSP version. Plus, the game is story-based, so how would you add in some random character who isn't part of the story? Maybe if there was a randomly generated mode...
I just mentioned that because they added characters from ps1 to psp port. So I didnt think its that far fetched to think that they might add new stuff for iPhone port. I doubt they'll do it too, it's just wishful thinking
They would add them in the same way as the other secret characters like Reis, Beowulf, etc - by adding a small quest or storyline to go with them. Those extra characters had nothing much to do with the plot, either. Cloud is no more crazy than Lightning, he wasn't even from Ivalice! Balthier and Luso are, so they would be less random. Will Squeenix do the cool thing and actually add things like that? I sincerely doubt it. But it's fun to hope for it.
Do you have the release date please... (PS: It would be fun if they sold their final fantasy at 2$ !!)
No release date yet. Lol, I think it's our lucky day if it really come out @ $2 (Which is impossible ) And maybe you want to keep your opinion about the prices, Stevensi. There are several people here who kinda sensitive about the low prices of iOS games, you know.
If you look deep in the comments of the squareenixdlg facebook page on March 29th: "Hi. Please don't worry. As we announced, FINAL FANTASY TACTICS: WoL is going to be released this spring. "Spring" is quite long though... Download games are different from package titles. Especially iPhone games, the schedule can be very fluid. Then we can't tell the exact release date to avoid unnecessary confusion. If it was a completely new game, we could have some articles like character introduction/ game system...etc. But the game has already been known since the release of PS and PSP version." This was in reply to the billionth annoying request for a release date.
