I still don't know which one I should buy if this and FFIII come out simultaneously. These games will probably priced around $9-13 each. That's a lot of money for me. :C I never played TWoL and FFIII (DS version), I wonder which one is a better choice?
If I'm not mistaken, the PSX version was Final Fantasy Tactics and the PSP remake was Final Fantasy: The War of Lions. The iOS version is a port of the PSP.
I disagree, most everyone has played FF tactics, but most peeps haven't played FF3 since not many love the idea of playing on them NDS. So go get FF3. It's newer, better, it's in 3D (not stereoscopic 3D, but built on a 3d engine. Hate this confusion)!
I'd say FFT for sure. Yes, FF3's graphics are more modern, but the gameplay is not. It feels like exactly what it is: an NES RPG in updated graphics. Though, for some people, this could be a positive rather than a negative.
Um, actually it's not newer. This is a port of the PSP version of FFT which was released in 2007. FFIII for NDS was released in 2006. And pixel art vs. 3D is really a matter of preference, and whichever suits the game or platform better.
I've been reading tons of reviews or this. Hopefully they're addressing the slowdown that ppl experienced in ps1 and psp games. How awesome would it be if they make the iOS version as the ultimate. Or even if they added lightning from ffxiii. A man can dream . They can take their time in my book so long as we get an excellent version. After reading up on it so much I'd be willing to pay anything under $30 for this puppy
Ditto, will be really hard to dethrone this game once it hits the appstore. This is a serious timesink.
Maybe not in the Top Paid due to its price but it'll probably get top 5 at least in the Top Grossing charts.
So, FF3 is out. Any news about this? To be honest, I am more interested in a SRPG and it looks like I'll be only able to afford 1 of them if they come out relatively close together. It seems strange that we have heard nothing for so long. Was it canned? (Please, no!).
No... they're still polishing that thing. I guess FFT will come around the easter holidays for approx. 15 bucks.
That's Atlus, not Square Enix. We haven't seen much of Atlus around here, so somehow I doubt it, but that would be cool.
