Amazing... simply amazing... it's November and we still haven't got any word from SE about this game's release date.
According to an interview from Japanese site Appbank, FFT for iPhone is currently in development and it is targeted for early 2011.
This is kind of ridiculous... actually its really ridiculous... eh w.e... we got other games to spend money on
The interview is divided into two parts. You need Google translate if you don't understand Japanese. However, the only information about FFT in the article is what I mentioned above. http://www.appbank.net/2010/11/09/iphone-news/185947.php http://www.appbank.net/2010/11/09/iphone-news/185940.php
are you sure????!! i mean i used google to translate the world "final" it gave me a translation " 最終的な " ...when i tried to search for it this word " 最終的な " by find option in the browser.. it didnt find this word the same i did while searching for " ファイナルファンタジー " which corresponds to " final fantasy " it didnt find it either in any of the 2 pages you mentioned which was discussing chaos rings however when i tried " ファンタジー " which corresponds to "fantasy " it refered to a sentence...when i translated it..it turned to be " voice fantasy" so for a conclusion...there was no any discussion about any game which has "final" or " final fantasy" ....thats to say no any reference to final fantasy tactics...they only refered to voice fantasy so are you still sure of your information??????
I am an RPG fan. And I love Final Fantasy Tactics. But, like I said, it's a video game. Life will go on.
Well, I am sure because I understand Japanese. In the article, they call the game "FFタクティクス", which means "FF Tactics" There is only one sentence related to FFT: "FFタクティクスも来年初頭を目指して開発中です。この手のゲームは iPhone によく合っていますね" means: "FF Tactics is in development and the target of release date is early next year. This kind of game is suitable for iPhone." Sorry for the confusion
im playing it right now on my iphone4. so it might not have the fancy touchscreen controls, but my wii mote with classic controller are working quite nicely. also playing symphonies of the night, FF7, and breath of fire 3, and 4. best of all the emu was only 2.99 way cheaper than just tactics will be when it is finally released... (if ever) ITs PSX4all if your interested. (i know emus should be free, but....)
*Points at the above quote* zzz the final IOS FF Tactics release will be a far more polished package than an emulated Playstation 1 version. You are also missing out on the extra content that was introduced in the PSP port >.>
Which is what it is, not the PSX game. A few may be forgetting this means widescreen, FMV, revamped storyline including new content, improved translation, new items & jobs. Emulation won't get you close to playing War of the Lions on iPhone. Unless we somehow get a full-speed PSP emu for iOS (nope).
Do you get to play as Cloud Strife on the GBA version? And is the iPhone one based on the GBA version or the PSX version? I'm confused...
There is no GBA version; GBA got Tactics Advance, a separate game, and DS got TA2. Cloud Strife is in neither. Honestly I don't understand the fansanity over Cloud Strife.
Thanks for the info. And you don't need to understand why people love FF7 and its characters just as you don't need to understand why certain people choose to idolize scumbags like Justin Bieber. It's a fact of life. Embrace it.
