I got an ice whip for Rydia which is also useful for Quistis; now I got a healer's weapon that make me happy it heals a big amount of HP man...BIG!
Any beat/master Seed++? I've tried two setups. The first relied on using carbuncle. She spam dispelled me. The second was all physical using advance and retaliate, but I can't take all the magic damage. Obviously I need to seriously mitigate her magic.... Will try again later today
Ok so I tried once more w my physical setup and beat it by the skin of my teeth. Need new strat for mastery tho
I did it in first try couple days ago and I forget exactly the abilities i used, here roughly my setup. I use Retaliate strategy if you dont like it, skip reading I use - Cloud (lvl65) with Blitz(VIII)+(6*): Retaliate all the way - i forget either Squall (lvl60) with another Blitz(VIII) OR Wakka (lvl65) with Chakram(VIII)+(6*) - Quistis (lvl51) with ice whip - Garnet (lvl57) as healer: kirin(R3), Carbuncle(r2) for reflect - Selphie (lvl50) with Morning Star(VIII): the SB heal all with big amount of HP that really helps me. Protectga(R1) and the other ability forget TIPS: a. RW: Advance for Cloud b. Magic break/down and Armor break/down c. Boot for Cloud d. RM: self sacrifice a + b + c + d = 9999 damage e. everyone in back row except Cloud f. Carbuncle is quite useless because it cannot reflect AoE magic but only single one, so I recommend don't bring it I did S/L once, hope that help
Thanks for the tips. Just mastered. I used retaliate like you did and like I did on one of my original tries. 3 things were different: I used magic breakdown instead of magic break (I had to create and hone it). I brought R3 Kirin, which I timely got from the F6 event, and leveled Quis and Selph more over the past few days.
Vit0 was nice when way back when we were weaker, or you were short on time. Now you should just need a good plan to finish the events (if you've been playing for a while).
Mastered that yesterday.. Didn't get champion on that blue dragon though.. He got so much hp and really likes to use AOE... My party is Tyro thundaga thundaga Cloud retaliate thundara strike Edgar boost armor break Sabin magic break doublecut Yuna kirin curaga Didn't take that stage too seriously though.. Sabin and edgar are just level 26, yuna's 48, and both tyro and cloud are 65.. Edit: no debuff works for that dragon except blind, but that's not that useful since he really likes to use magic aoe...
Edgar is lvl 52 and I left Sabin out Cloud blade blitz thundaga strike Tyro curaga Kirin Terra thundaja curaga Edward dark strike magic break Vivi thundaga thundaga Tyro Healer as RW Got master on Blue Dragon w this setup Got blind onll first dark strike hit, which helped actually. There were a few missed attacks for the dragon
Where does concentration come from? I don't think I have that yet. The mobs were a huge pain. Used a combination of bladeblitz, 2 thundaga s from Vivi a round (mana II), zealot, and a bunch of S/Ls if I got AoE'd too much
Concentration II is the "White Mage survives against Beatrix Elite" materia, if I remember right. Gives you a "free" Protectga (and soon Shellga) every dungeon area. Reduces your damage taken but since it's a "non-combat" move it increases your chances of losing a medal to actions taken instead. I got through this one with my usual method of overhoned Breaks, Dragon and Comets. If I'd had a brain and brought Thundaga/Thundara Blade along I'd have had a much better time. Honestly surprised I managed to squeak by with Mastery.
I'm surprised I didn't grab this once earlier. Just grabbed Concentration II ... Looking forward to using it!! When do we get shellga btw?
