Sorry you didn't have better luck. I know how much that stinks. Grimoire is nice though! And yeah... For me it is shields and staffs/rods.... so many of all 3 of those. My inventory is almost full with 3* plus items... I might have to start actually filtering through it and getting rid of some of it (up until now I kept everything from the rare relic pull). Particularly all the 3 star junk. 4 stars should be safe for a good long while... but some of this 3 star stuff might have to go...
Ya thinking the same. ive upgraded slots a number of times (145 currently), and sold off a bunch of useless accessories, but I'm still constantly at the brink of full. Lots and lots of shields here too. A number of them are 5* after the combining. Same with rods and staves. All pretty much worthless since I have a few natural 5* shields and staves (two 6* at this point). And of course piles of gloves. Probably not more than swords, but waaaay more than more useful niche items like spears, axes, bows, chakrams, etc. Good news is at least today is an equipment upgrading day. Can combine those 3-4* items to conserve some space!
Hahahaha. Did that until I ran out of money... It's expensive combining them! I also had about 35 new relics to level up... so it added up... And yeah I'm at 150 slots... which should be plenty but keeping enough stuff for RS is a pain since party composition can change so much.
I've been playing since day 1 and had done two other 50-mythril pulls, so I was sitting around 240 earlier this week. Still have 100 - I've been working to buff up that Enhancer like you said. Had over 1,000,000 gil just sitting around and today was weapon/armor grinding day anyway. It's now 7* Enhancer++, fully maxed out. I think I'll be changing my Roaming Warrior to Terra and posting her stats in the 'add me' thread. A 269-MAG area Fira sounds pretty slick to me - I know it's not as good as Sentinel's Grimoire, but hey.
When it's all said and done, Sentinel Grimoire's are almost a dime a dozen in the Friend list. I have about two dozen of them just from the random names that popped up - which makes me wonder if there's a smaller pool of active players than I thought, or if people really DO spend that much money in the grand scheme of things. I'm pretty greedy with people I try to follow now, looking for ones who have character specific limit breaks WITHOUT a yellow background. (Doesn't make a difference with Sentinel's Grimoire, of course,) The only 5* I could combine would be my Danjuro. But I did manage to pull both the Masamune AND the Murasame, so Cloud and Sephiroth should be able to wreak havoc in any FF7 events now.
I really want those 5 stars weapons!! My 5star draws currently are 5 regal gown 2 genji shield 1 zantetsuken 1 healing grimoire 1 blitz sword 1 sentinel grimoire 1 kaiser shield Only 4 of them are weapons, but still grateful though... Edit: about those friend list, most of them are rinoa, sentinel, tidus, wakka, and vanille
I've acquired several 5* over the months, but the Genji Shield is STILL the one and only "natural" piece of 5* Defense that I'm holding. I'd even be happy with a Regal Gown. About another half-hour 'til the "Festival of Gold" officially starts. Not sure how useful that will be for me, honestly - my Gil supplies are okay, I don't have much left to upgrade and most of my crew is Max level. Hoping that finally comes with the official announcement of "24 hours until the new dungeons," but no guarantee there.
Yeah... I can use the gold and weapon upgrades... But wish we had more memory crystals... Right now I only need to level 3 people. Luneth from lv45 to lv50 and Tidus and Wakka from lv55 or so to lv65. Still will be a great event but it could be so much better! Hopefully it helps everyone catch up :- )
Pretty much. More memory crystals would help. I didn't realize the lvl 50+ stuff was such a slow rollout. The announcements made it sound like it was an immediate thing. Alas. Even another 2 would make it feel like I'm still growing instead of stagnating so many slots.
In Japan it was. They got like 8 characters at once and then it was a slow rollout from there. We should get similar with the next batch of dungeons. For some reason DeNa switched the 4th batch of dungeons with this week of gold and Tidus event (compared to JP)
I had to post on my almost absurdly dreadful luck on mytheil draws... An 11 pull netted me 3 four star items and 8 three star and the 4 subsequent single draws all led to 3 star items. So to summarize: 15 draws = 3x 4-star + 12x 3-star That is simply disgusting given the pull rate I see on here and my historical results, which are still pretty effing dreadful: only FOUR 5-star draws and I've played since day 1. Probably spent about $20 on draws as well..... Wow, now that I look at the math I suddenly don't feel like playing this game anymore...
Festival of Gold tosses out a lot more rewards than I was thinking. The upgrade Mats and gold are nice, but the exp is pretty nuts. Pretty good event to take part in for leveling purposes.
I hope you're lucky next time... Sad to hear that.. At first, i didn't get 5 stars from my mythril pulls too.. Just after about 2 months playing i get 2 5 stars in a row, and after that, none again until recently..... I haven't done any 11 relic pulls because I'm afraid of the result, and only doing single or triple pulls.. So far it's decent for me... Edit: on reddit, there are someone who doesn't get any 5 stars at all, and even the four stars are just a few...
That's horrible :/ Game is RNG on top of RNG. It's just so punishing in how unfair it feels at times, and how powerless you are to change anything. Even chucking money at it wouldn't ensure victory. You'll still spend an ungodly amount of time resetting the game because of huge AoE dmg.
On average, for every hundred pulls you do, 65 of them will be 3* items, and another 25 will be 4*. So in the grand scheme of things it's not all that surprising to do two or three 11-pulls in a row and come up dry. On the plus side, they added over 100 free Mythril from the last ten days alone, so at least they're giving us plenty of free attempts. In the end, having lots of 3* fodder (optimally combined at least once) is more important than 5* Gear. In a Final Fantasy IV realm, a Level 15 Rune Staff+ beats a Level 20 5* Judgment Staff.
Don't feel too bad I never get anything above 3 except when I got one five star weapon, one five star shield and one four star weapon all my other 4 stars are 3 stars I combined to make a 4. Every pull I get a new rod/staff even the same ones over and over and mind you none of these do much damage worth anything cuz they are 3 star ones. I've pulled a ton and by the way I've gotten nothing above 3 on these phase pulls and so far I've done those 4 times and one was the 15 Myhril pull. I always have bad luck so not too surprised Oh and one more thing I haven't spend a dime but I do plan on it at some point as a thanks because as a fan of FF this game is totally awesome regardless!
Thanks for that tidbit maybe combining and raising up my 3s is making up for my crappy pulls more than I realize
Yeah, can't really complain about that. But at the same time, if they're already throwing us free 104 ATK with a small chance of a one-hit KO built in, that worries me a bit. It's basically saying "your fighters better have 100+ attack gear all the time if you expect to compete in what's coming next."
Thanks all for the comments. I agree that the over-reliance on the RNG is a big barrier. I think some of us spend a lot of time leveling and crafting our team, only to be held up by gear. At the moment I can only do Elite up to around difficulty 40 and the heroic dailies typically throat stomp me. Just wish I had a single character gear item to help out...
