Here was my setup. I used 1 mithril to heal before the last round. This was planned so I was able to let loose on my double cuts and other abilities. I realize that I've probably had better than average luck with my relic pulls. Most of the 5* gear that I have I got within the first 2 weeks of playing using single mithril pulls. On the boss fight I used protect/de protect/protect. Used my breaks and intimidate worked well too. Then unleashed my double cuts while healing when needed. Edit: even though I have the Buster Sword I used Clouds default SB when using vit0 since I'll get 3 7k+ hits out of it.
Looks like they're STILL holding off on the new dungeons for awhile longer, as they've officially announced the Festival of Gold but no dungeons. Ah, well. I'm also surprised by their choice in this banner, as they've hitting us with Sephy AND the Tyro Twin Tomes all at once.
Two x11 Rare pulls and not *one* five star item, much less anyone's Soul Break equipment. So dejected now

Nope! I think shell/magic break/shell is the exploit that reduces all magic resistance. The one I'm using wipes the defense clear. Haven't tried that one though. Anyways I saw on reddit that the next update that comes out, tomorrow it seems, will fix these exploits. So I'm trying Control Center and the All-boss stage now before they patch. Will post results
I still haven't tried an 11 pull. I think I'm too scared to get the same result as you just did. Been sticking to the singles and now the triples, and spacing them out. Has been giving me decent results I think
Just mastered Operation Control. Trash was easy, no abilities used there Boss 1: I needed to land intimidate on the body. Took 7 restarts to get it. Then I went after the tentacles one by one (double cuts and blade blitz) while casting curaga twice per round. Once it was just the body i cast protect deprotecta protect and unleashed an all out attack. Boss 2: First off every time it said the head was moving I hit it with Wakka. As soon as I could I cast protect deprotecta protect on the body, then it was double cuts all the way. Curaga twice per round here too. No mithril needed this time.
That stinks! Sorry man! Hope your luck improves next time. Wow! nice! very jealous. I unloaded all my mythril on this banner (25 pulls!) and only got kaiser shield and murasama (not to be confused with Sephs weapon) Also I'll go try to follow you. Always good to have people from this board. EDIT: got a spot! I'm eflin (with wakka's ball) This is the best banner we've ever had... so if you have mythril I would spend it (EDIT: unless you already have sentinels... in which case this is still a good banner but necessarily the best choice for you anymore)... and 11 pulls give you one more shot. I won't argue if something has been working for you... but statistically 11 pulls are the best route.
Did two 11-mythril pulls this morning. I'll spare the full breakdown of every last item, but I got 12 3*s, 7 4*s, and 3 5*s. The game must really, really want me to use Terra - all three 5* items were Enhancers. I still have 100 mythril. Thinking about another pull. I really hope I don't get another Enhancer... but at least I finally pulled a 5* item!
Whew... I would have gladly traded my (2) 11 pulls for yours :- ) That's going to make for one heck of an enhancer! Congrats! (also way to save up that mythril! I was at 150 a week ago and thought I was doing well... kudos to you!)
Ok I just did a 11 pull w mithril. Was hoping for Terra's weapon but I still made out. Got Tyros Healing Book and a Genji armor. Also has anybody worked on the Control Room Struggle (boss rush) yet? If so any advice would be nice... I'm going to try soon and will probably use the same setup that I had for my last run (But w Tyro and new book)
Intimidate... intimidate... intimidate... I have not got to it yet but that is my strat :- ) Someone on reddit did a similar strategy and had to use one mythril to continue halfway through but that was it. Chocobo Eater - Intimidate and smash. Sinspawn Ammes - Intimidate the main body... kill 2 of the smaller dudes... then leave the 3rd (so boss doesn't respawn them) and go for the main body. Sinspawn Echuilles - Pretty similar to the one above actually. Intimidate main body... kill the smaller dudes... kill the big body Sinspawn Geneaux - Intimidate boss and one tentacle... Take out the other tentacle... then the intimidated tentacle... and then the boss... intimidate as much as needed as it doesn't work on last boss. Sinspawn Gui - attack the head first. Make sure you have ranged or magic to hit it. Once the head is down take out and arm (only one) and then go for the body. This is the only boss intimidate doesn't work on.
Spent 200 mythril. 3 5*. Got my third genji shield (seriously?), judgement staff, and with my last 11 pull got a healing grim. Glad I got it but painful how much 3* clutter I have and dupes of largely worthless 5*. Few decent 4* tho. And ugh.... The gloves. Soooo many gloves.
