My goal is to just get as many of the biggest orbs possible and all the growth eggs. Also cherry picking lower orbs for specific abilities right now.

Question, are more abilities going to be added? Seems to be room for tons more. Where's ultima and other iconic spells?

The problem I find with most of the summons is that they're single-use (unless you manage to hone them). Assuming you're not just auto-battling the dungeon and saving it for one big shot in the final encounter, it seems like a waste of a skill slot.

I'm using the Dragon summon because it's typeless and that was easy to hone once. It's moderate, typeless damage that hits all enemies, which should be useful to dust off whenever I encounter a boss with multiple minions.

At this point, I'm mostly just gathering tons of orbs for the future - with high-level characters there aren't really many situations yet where you need anything other than the few standard skills.

I've played from day 1 as well and I've gotten 2 2 star pulls and the rest 1 star pulls, nothing better.

It's worth buying the armor and staves to combine and use for the synergies. Because I don't know about you but the light staff you get is from ff 3 and I don't know if you've ever equipped an armor or weapon for the synergy entered the dungeon it matches then hit party and held your finger down on the party member that has the weapon or armor, it's a huge boost.

I'm about 85% sure that I just lost my mithril. I only had 4, so it's not a huge deal, but I could have sworn I had 4 before I went to bed. Grrrr. Frustrating.

At least you're getting 5 star stuff though! Better than many :- )

Yeah they will continually add more and more abilities. We should get blizaga, thundaga, etc next.

Summons are a lot of fun but if you are looking for optimal line ups... then they only are the correct choice for bosses with numerous enemies. Against single bosses the single target spells (with many more uses) will perform better. And I don't even worry about the regular mobs when picking abilities... but summons wipe the floor with an entire wave which is nice in a pinch.

Either way though... I only like the summons once you hone it at least once (so you can have two uses)... so I'm holding off of crafting a 4 star summons until I get enough orbs to craft and hone one... I might get there by the end of the aerith event though :- )

I'm loving my L2 Shiva though... definitely helpful (and fun!)

Exact same here. I only use the daily relics as upgrade fodder. I'd freak out if I got a 4 star from a daily. As far as Mithril pulls, I've gotten seven 4 star pulls and no 5 star.

Synergy is important, definitely, but it's not that big of a deal when the equipment is of such low quality (even upgraded it is far from being similar to a proper higher tier one). That said, it's dirty cheap so it's not a big loss anyway.

Me three... I have gotten ONLY 1 star pulls from the free relic. That's actually pretty impressive odds at this point (just in a bad way).

As for the rare machine.... I've done 12 pulls... (1) 4 star (hayate bow)... (1) 5 star (regal gown)... and then all (3) stars...

Although my luck on the 3 stars has also been pretty bad. I got (1) fist, (1) sword, (1) spear, (3) rods, (2) staffs, and (2) armors. Very bad distribution as I'm not using any of the staffs or rods... so it goes though :- ) I'm looking forward to when I can do an 11 relic pull (saving up now and waiting for an increased odds at all 5 star event)

I've only gotten one 3* from the free relic draw. Does anyone have any info about when new abilities will be added or know when the JP version first got theirs?

Hey this sounds good but it's going over my head. What to do you mean by increased odds at a 5 star event?

To get a 5* star, odds are currently at 5% (according to reddit). The Jap version had instances whereby this % is increased so it's a good idea to roll then

Yeah. The current events DO NOT increase your chances to get a 5 star item... Including the one with "increased odds". All the events are doing is increasing the odds that the 5 star item you get is the "increased odds" item once you have made the 5% chance to get a 5 star item. So they are handing out the same number of 5 star items... Just more of the featured "increased odds" item and less of all the other 5 star items.

JP has had events where the chance to get 5 star items is increased to 10% or so... I am waiting for one of those events.

Don't forget the 5-stars don't necessarily have the same odds, as you can find in the messages inside the game, so this 5% is not necessarily accurate to begin with

The game rolls twice every time you do a pull. The first roll determines rarity and for a 5 star that is a 5% chance. This currently has never changed. I am waiting for an event that effects this roll.

The second roll determines which item in that rarity you get. And yes you are correct that the odds are not equal amongst the 5 star items. So far their events have increased the odds of one of the rarer ones for this roll only.

At least that is how the system was explained to me.

Finally decided to make Tyro full healer. In fights that matter, he's stuck healing anyways, might as well just give him a rod to perform better at that task. His edge over Aerith or White Mage that i cant replace him as my healer is that he's more tanky coz he can wear plates.

The "5%" is the guestimated chance of getting a 5* item. If you succeed in THAT check, it then goes to a "loot table" to see what you end up with. (Think old-school D&D "roll percentile dice to see what's in the treasure chest" kind of stuff.)

I'd imagine "generic" 5* equipment is more likely than character-specific gear (other than the event item). So the loot table might look something like this right now:

    [5* Items]
    01-20: Guard Stick [event item]
    21-24: Buster Sword
    25-28: Dark Sword
    29-32: Masamune
    33-36: Grand Glove
    37-40: Lustrous Shield
    41-50: Danjuro
    51-60: Judgment Staff
    61-70: Genji Shield
    71-88: Genji Helm
    81-90: Genji Armor
    91-99: Regal Gown
    100: Healing Grimoire

So that would mean the odds of getting the Guard Stick are actually 1%. (A 5% chance of getting onto the 5* Loot Table, then a 20% chance of getting the Guard Stick from that table.)

Disclaimer: This "chart" is just an example, and the actual odds of each item may be considerably different than this.
