It's probably not worth to replace Cecil with Kain, seeing as they are both FF4 chars. Suggest you stick to 5 "permanent" chars to make it your main team and level to 50. This will ensure whatever time-based event comes about, u can always fall back on this team to clear them. For the elite dungeons, there will come a time whereby without the right chars with Realm Synergy, there's just no way to clear them. My main team of Tyro (44), Sephi (42), Cloud (47), Tidus (46), Rydia (47) still can't clear the FF6 elites. Doubt even at 50 they can clear. Waiting for FF6 chars to be released to have a chance. That said, I read from the Jap folks that Realm Synergy gives a boost of +10 levels. So lvl 50 Kain at FF4 realm will essentially be lvl 60.
This is def a good technique. Cecil can 1shot enemies in the normal daily event even at lvl 15 so pairing him with just another attacker is enough to quickly 2 man it. Also I found that the normal daily is pretty much the best exp per stamina value. For 5 per round it's 3k, while the main event last area is 10 stamina for only 5k exp (champ of course).
summon orb drop rates Do we know anything about the drop rates for the Summon Orb vs. Greater Summon Orb at the end of the Shinra and Mt. Ordeals events? I've run those two events combined 19 times now, and I've received 7 Summon Orbs and 12 Greater Summon Orbs. Was curious how others are doing. I wasn't keeping track until yesterday when I had a string of four consecutive Mt. Ordeals runs where I received the 4* orb. I actually wish I'd received a couple more regular orbs, I have more than enough Fire/Thunder orbs to make a 3* summon... I'll keep running Mt. Ordeals until I can at least finish one of them.
Hi guys. Just started playing. Should I leave the main character in my party? Or swap him with a FF character?
I kicked him out pretty quick but.. I put him back in as my white Mage because he has slightly more hp than the regular white Mage and with the wm equipment his mind is high enough to be a good healer until a better healed comes out.
My curret team are Sephi (melee) Cloud (melee) Dark cecil (melee) Rydia (magic) Paladin cecil (healer) Paladin cecil stats are way more than tyro, so... Bye tyro~
I don't know of any official drop rate... but the ratio for me (doing my 36rd run as we speak... between shinra and cecil event) is about 33% 4 star orbs and 67% 3 star. To be more specific... so far I have received (11) 4 star orbs and (24) 3 star orbs... My goal is to hit (40) 3 star orbs and atleast (10) 4 star orbs (already there!) by end of the event... So I can make (1) L1 Ifrit, (1) L2 Shiva, and a 4 star summon. I should be able to get there unless the next event starts... and is the Aerith event... I'll be dropping everything to farm that if it shows up. He is kind of a jack of all trades... master of none. I am using him as my white mage AND bow user right now. Eventually I'll be moving him out but he is the most flexible character so I don't think it's a bad idea to develop him. Once we have a full set of characters though he likely won't be as useful
Because Paladin Cecil is "harder" to unlock than dark cecil, does that mean he's superior? a la Sephiroth vs Tifa Im trying to decide who to use out of the 2 Cecils and Tidus. Ill level them all but like to have an A team in my mind.
If FF4 and Dissidia is any indication, then DK Cecil should be straight up more powerful offensively, but Paladin Cecil is way more versatile and a bit more tanky.
I agree. He's been pretty effective on my team. Just give him a long range weapon a healing spell and a debuff spell. Been working out pretty well for me.
Oh, I like him just fine, but I am wondering if he's worth keeping in the team now that I've got Paladin Cecil almost up to his level. I love character variety, but it gets so hard to choose who to play with! I guess I just need to level everyone up and take them based on my mood and which number the dungeon/daily is.
Congrats Jerutix! You're reaaaaallly making me want to use my remaining mythril.... but I told myself I'd wait....
I think versatility is key in this game. FTP games always throw random crap in dungeons. P.cecil sounds great but I'm sticking with Tyro. I can equip different things on him and adapt to the situation at hand. I'm limited on play time so I can't level every single char. Tyro, Seph, Dcecil, Rydia, Cloud till the end! unless....Kefka or Shadow show up lol
All I want is Lightning and Red XIII even though I'm sure Red isn't even playable. Everyone else is replaceable.
