Yeah, I know I guess I was just sayin they're there, probably more for newbies curious where to get some better stuff. Lol
A resounding agreement. I don't really see the point of doing elites once mastered. It's always just daily dungeon grinding for orbs. Gil, armor, weapon upgrade materials days = rest days
Fully agree,I'm on the daily today for orbs and exp. Will prob go for some low ranked elites that I haven't cleared today so I can build up some Mythril, haven't had much luck with Relic pulls yet so hoping today might be different! Other than that the stamina to orb/experience ratio in the dailys is far superior to anything else.
The boss of Shipgraveyard (FFV) drops the 3 star Black Cowl rarely. Do it on normal not elite for the drop! As for the elite dungeon rewards... I think they are pretty good. They were made to be challenges... not for grinding really. The dailies are meant for that and serve their purpose well :- ) EDIT: Saw this on reddit... no idea if true but here is what it said the odds are for the free daily pull. ★★★★★ 0.010% (1 in 10,000) ★★★★ 0.084% (1 in 1,190) ★★★ 5.987% (1 in 17) ★★ 20.003% (1 in 5) ★ 73.916% (3 out of 4) If true... my lack of any 2+ star pulls is actually pretty surprising. All 1 stars for me so far! EDIT #2: and apparently the 5 star rate from the rare relic pull is 5%. So you should expect a 5 star piece for every 20 pulls... ouch...
In dubious about those rates, honestly. If true, RNG has stiffed me in both types of pulls. If I get another bloody 3-4* Mage staff from mythril I think I'll scream.
I dunno. They seem believable to me.. but they are far from confirmed so you are right to take it with a grain of salt. RNG is RNG so you'd have to pull thousands of times to converge on the actual rates. Unless you've done a lot of IAP I don't think any of us have pulled enough to approach the average... Keep in mind that with a 1 in 20 odds the variance feels more extreme since one result can shift the results a large amount. So for everyone who has gone 40 pulls with nothing... some guy got (2) 5 star in 4 pulls (those odds likely don't equate but it illustrates the point). Hopefully all our lucks improve :- ) I'm holding onto my mythril for an event that increases the actual 5 star rate though (not just the chances to get a specific 5 star IF you roll that 1 in 20 chance). Apparently they have happened a few times in the JP version.
Woo! Pulled my first 5* item from the 5 mithril draw. The Regal Gown (VI), which has given my Tyro quite the Defensive, Resistance, and Evasion boosts, even if it is clearly designed for a female in the picture. We wear what we've got to. Also, 18 stamina away from (hopefully) finishing off the Shinra event!
Congrats! regal gown is great. It's the only 5 star I have but it really helps keep squishy mages alive. I have mine on Rydia. Oh and I found the source of the drop rates I posted on the last page http://chrysaliswiki.com/guides:gacha-of-record-keeper
Good call. I didn't put it on her when I got it because it dropped her Magic stat by a few points, but more than doubling her defense stat is worth it. Silly me. Also, now that I have all available characters, any recommendations for a new core team? I started leveling both Cecils and Sephiroth, but basically all my characters other than Cloud, Tifa, Tyro, Kain, and Rydia are under lvl 20.
Leveling right now is really slow for me. Team at 31 or so but cant take on the 28+ elite bosses yet. But the levels I can beat are not worth it stamina/exp wise.
Hmmm Cloud, Sephiroth, Tyro, Rydia, Kain Do I replace Kain with Cecil either form? Kain has that jump utility for flying enemies if such happens again.
Depends entirely on equipment. I wanted to replace tyro or kain with pal cecil but then I rolled a 4* axe wich goes great on kain. Plus I have no gear for cecil so cant put him in.
Another question: are the Silver Glasses worth playing through the last round of the Cecil event again, hoping for Mastery? That's the only one I didn't Master on my first time through.
Just like old final fantasies before it, your exp is split evenly among your team, so if there's a level that you play that gives decent exp and is super easy, drop to a 4 man group or even a 3 man group if you can. The smaller the team the more exp they get per battle. that's how I level new characters. I give them my best or second best equipment I have team them with 1 or two of my best characters and go at it somewhere in the "medium" difficulty levels or normal on dailies. But this is using lvl 30 characters to level rush no lvl 50s or anything.
I believe I read in one of the toucharcade articles that it's ok if you miss you because they're sure at some point some characters will be available again. I doubt characters like tifa, sephiroth, or even tidus from pre registration are a one time only thing. If you missed someone, no worries I'm sure you'll get your chance at some point.
