Curious as to whether events such as the one currently will reoccur next time. Or else newcomers will never get Tifa & Sephiroth! #
They cycle in and out According to Shaun and other sources characters do repeat, but man, I would not want to miss out on sephiroth. According to a site posted by another user he is ranked number 1 for melee attack. I would hate to miss out on him. I have a trip planned for april 16 to the states, I hope no event starts out then since I would hate to miss out on anybody, even a bland/weak character. Regardless I will still farm orbs in tomorrows dungeon even though every bone in my body wants to grab Seph asap, I want me some more abilities LOL. I can grab characters after that.
Has anyone managed to get Sephiroth yet? Im curious as to how difficult the climb will be. The first few floors ive played before running out of stamina were pretty easy. I have a lv30 party with 2-4 star items and i wonder if that's enough to invite Sephiroth to my party... It wouldnt just be a party with sephiroth in it, it would be a partay!
How is tifa? It sounds like sephiroth is a very valuable character, but I'm wondering if tifa is worth levelling? My suspicion is she's only useful for mastering the vii elite quests, so it's best to wait till you've maxed your main party?
The advise that Shaun had was to come up with a lvl 30 party so should be doable. Mine ranges from 30-32 with same 2-4 star items and maxed out item levels
It's not tooo difficult if you have good spells. And cloud with a good weapon lol The second to the last boss was honestly the hardest.
Yeah i just got Tifa and she doesnt look that hot. I mean she does, but she doesnt. LOL Also, over 10 complete playthroughs in FF7 and never did i once consider her a monk class character, until today. Hahaha
In their defense she was taught by Zangan who was a renowned martial artist and in the FF series Monks are martial artist. I'm feeling the pain at Hundred Gunner. All that wasted stamina...
I guess it all boils down to the specific realm. Pretty sure Tifa in FF7 realm with 30-40% stats boost would kick Tidus's ass anytime of the day. Not to mention her hotness #
Anyone else just hitting constant system errors? I've had to just mash retry 20 times till it finally hits the main screen but it always system errors again mid fight and won't reconnect no matter how many retrys. Tried reinstalling the app too and changing wifi to 3G with no change.
Haven't had any trouble with Tifa myself, but then the first thing I did was to put three-star gear on her and upgrade it. We'll see, though.
Tifa pretty much feels like something to use for this event, after which she'll be shelved (especially if I somehow get to Sephiroth). FF7 affinity won't mean too much until more stages appear in FF7. Floor 60 seems to exist as a wall to stop players who have been all "physical attacker auto-battle power level" up to this point. (I've been largely in that camp myself.) Without ranged or magic attacks you won't even be able to hit the boss. It's a good thing this event goes on for awhile, because I'll need several days just to try to get past that hurdle.
I just realized that by accessing the inventory inside a dungeon you can check the items buffed stats. And I had a lot of surprises! A Leather Glove at level1 normally has 4 attack. Buffed, in this event, it goes up to 29!! I decide to upgrade it to level3 just to see how would it affect stats - the normal attack value increases to 8, but the buffed value increases just to 33! The difference remains 25, so I thought that fixed values are added to each stat. Then I decide to do the same to a Protect Vest. At level 1, base values are def 14, res 10 and Eva 96. Buffed, respectively: 34, 33 and 96. So, first of all, not all stats are increased, since EVA doesn't get buffed. Then I leveled it up to level 5. Both def and res go up 6 points, and Eva unchanged. Buffed, they go up to 45 and 46! So the buff bonus actually increased differently for both stats. Now I don't understand anything anymore. Maybe the buff has something to do with how much stats would increase after a number of levels, I don't know. But I'll keep checking!
Anyone had a chance to try out the summon magics yet? Seems like black magic would be more useful as the summoning has one use only (before honing)
What are good abilities to equip for physical or even magical/utility? I want to make sure o can fully beat this event been relying on Cloud too much.
Man after reading this thread I definitely am using a sub par group :- P I am using: Tyro, Tidus, Kaine, White Mage, and Black Mage... all around level 23. Been able to clear all regular dungeons and a handful of elite... and am cruising through the special event now... so it hasn't been holding me back yet at least. I guess I wanted a black and white magic user for a balanced approach and just didn't feel like I had many options. Also very jealous of people with Buster Sword! I've only received one 5 star item so far and it is was a white mage armor... Will be helpful in the long run... but not as cool in the mean time :- ) Should I be saving all my mythril for next weeks Masamune? Although the idea of using Sephiroth seems odd (being a major antagonist and all).
Event Boss weakness I have yet to reach the end boss for the event but would like to plan ahead. Since he seems to be immune to melee I do have to craft certain magical abilities. Does he have a weakness? If so what is it? Thanks in advance. Orbs are so rare I would not like to use them willy nilly at this time.

Any idea how rare it is and how many total you need? Is it only used for leviathan?
