I'm a fan, but have been holding off on buying 1 and 2. If you are jailbroken though, you can play these games with wiimote support. For anyone who's tried both, which is an overall better experience?
Definitely get the official ones, especially now they are both on sale. I've got practically every FF you can get on emulators for NES, SNES, PS1, and Gameboy Advance. They are all great and definitely playable but FF1/2 have become obsolete now that there are official versions, plus they are the PSP ports with updated graphics. The Wiimote support is cool but honestly the novelty wears off. You don't need physical controls for the FF's since they are turn-based and don't require quick response. Use the Wiimote for something like SMB 3, etc.
