I agree with your first point. And I was just venting. Can you imagine writing a story about a deaf person under the straining eyes of the marketing officer of a deaf society? It's stressful. And being manic depressive (it's not depression, if you don't get the term, google it) doesn't help either. Second point is what worries me the most. You know why? Because it reads to me like: How are you exactly helping Japan now? You would be helping them by being patient and just sit and wait. Revolting as it is, let's get back on topic, you said they want to make money also, I've pointed out that specific point myself earlier. I want to send them money because I was moved by their generous donation to those people who have lost their houses and family members and friends as well as their possessions in that tragedy. True, it is pointless to keep asking. But you know better that there is very small chance of anyone getting a definite answer in this particular thread. I posted what I posted simply to bump the thread and get a discussion going. What have YOU done lately that is worth something for OTHER people? Third point, you can recommend me, and I've done so. If you saw the news on toucharcade.com regarding the game where the moderator posted two pictures, side-by-side comparison between DS and iOS, those pictures? I posted them. Check a few pages back if you don't believe me. But it's not the same as having the game running on your device now is it? We both have 3Gs, so, speaking for myself of course, I would like to know whether the game has been optimized for 3Gs as much as it has been for iPhone 4 or perhaps even iPad 2, or did it work the other way around in favor of compatibility with older devices. Considering the fact that previous FF titles have not been released for iPad and yet they work well on iPad (I've tried), I would think that it is safe to assume that they won't be making an iPad version of FF3 either. We CAN have a discussion on that since that is what most gamers do. Leave the morality and the humanist matters well alone since I personally don't think that it is something that you can understand.

Well I do hope that it didn't come across as though you said it. But like I said, it sounded that way, and again, for reasons that I've also mentioned earlier. There is no bad publicity. A big company doesn't give much attention to what people say in forums. You ought to know that, unless of course, you've never worked (i.e.: a student). And it takes so much, so-much more to aggravate SE or give them a bad press. Did I write in a column of a respectable newspaper? No. What we do in forums is shout out our complaints hoping that they would hear us. Again, you should know better. And no, I did not make that conclussion and come to think of it, it is your non-action thinking that worries me, not what you said. Allow me to elaborate, I'm Indonesian, so I've heard people saying how aweful the disaster was but that is it. They just talk about it and the most despicable thing a human being should do in such time is pray. Prayers don't solve anything and yet people pray and think that they've done their share to help Japan. No donation, no well-wishing, just a prayer. So please understand why I'm against people who say that you should "sit back and relax". We don't live in the MTv generation anymore, guys and gals. This is reality, embrace it, FACE IT!

I had this game on the ds as my first game as i was a fan of VII, IX and X...III is not so good imo...although i couldnt bare to finish it all. All this light vs dark stuff..their story department really picked up the pace with the sequels.. sure the basic fight stuff is there but i like ff for the story a lot of the time..otherwise i can play any other time-sucking rpg... did the story get better after the first 10 hours?
I was reading on wikipedia that with the remake, they added more story. Now I've never played any ff except 13 (which is relaxing). I recently started getting psp to play ff vii and I was more or less looking forward to this game coming out since I'd have something to lookforward to (aside from FFT). So would the ds remake make a good game to buy or not?

@katday Not to be rude, but let me point something out "...even in university the first thing they will teach you is..not to make assumptions." Actually I am 18 years old and study at the university in Denmark (believe it or not) and one of the first thing they teached us at the math studies was actually to make assumptions Assumptions are a big part of the mathmatical proof equations (bad translation I know.. I'm curious about one important thing, there is no FMV on either FF1 or 2 for the iPhone and the FMV that I've seen on FF3 is gorgeous (is the ending also in FMV?), so I really do hope they put the FMV(s) in this release.
