Goal ! Nice find mate ! ... Post of the thread so far ! Chapter 3 now. This game is truly great ... Edit : Actually on part 2 of chapter 2 just realised not chapter 3. The chapters get significantly longer.
did you get to deist yet? I have no idea what to do once I get there. To the east are the dragon mountains which I can't enter and to the west is the patch of Dragon Grass, but the guards there are far, far too powerful for me to defeat. I honestly have no idea what the heck to do here.
Glad to hear the game is good. Only played the prologue (took me 2hr but I'm slow) So far it feels like a mix between ff1,4, and 5. 1 because of the light/dark thing. 4 because the story(although it's kinda hard to tell but I know it will get good) and 5 because of the job classes(that's not to say ff5 didnt have a good story) Can't tell which game is better graphically this one or 6 but it looks like if it were to come out in the main series it would be between 5 and 6. Hopefully this will be a suscess and we will get more games like this.. A continuing line of 2d FFs to go Along with the 3d ones etc.. Plan on getting a card tomorrow and buy the whole thing, can't wait to start playing.. The last good 2d Rpg I played was lunar 2 and wild arms(not at release but a few years ago I Finnaly got around to playing them on my quest to find and play every good 2d jrpg)
Im liking this so far, i think im almost done with chapter 1 and im loving the job system even though I havent scratched the surface yet. I still think FF V and VI are way better than this one, but it qualifies as a real retro FF experience without a doubt with deep and engaging gameplay mechanics, its worth the admission price imo.
Just finished Chapter 1, this game keeps getting better and better! I hope this is the start to many more quality 2D RPGs on iOS! It's a full fledged Final Fantasy game and a great quality game over all! I'm really enjoying it and I feel it's worth every penny!
I have no defInate answer, but I found the guards quite easy. Maybe you need to grind a bit and level up. I always end up grinding by accident really looking for chests and wandering the wrong direction in dungeons ! Also if you visit the chocobo patch to the north east of the dragon grass place and catch a white chocobo to fully restore MP also might help ;-) Sorry I can't be more specific.
Plays better than it looked in the trailer. Having some retro fun with it. Downloaded the rest of the game!
The games difficulty increases dramatically in Chapter 3 after a new character ??? (which you HAVE to name) joins you.
IMO? Don't. It's not worth ten dollars to hear the gorgeous audio rendered in chips .. and this is coming from a huge chiptune fan too.
Who here defeated the Spoiler Conqueror in the extra dungeon in Chapter 3? What level were your characters? I'm Lv. 41 and that thing has some nasty attacks Actually, the mobs in that dungeon are annoying as hell too...
Is that when you're still controlling Sol's party? I think I beat it around level 45 using all warriors battle arts strike ability and having one healer. Does anyone know what are the abilities of all the job classes beyond the first 3? I have a ton of job points that I'm saving up and not sure what to invest in. I'm in late chapter 3 and haven't used a single point yet. I'm still waiting for that ninja class too. Also, anyone know what you're supposed to do when you encounter a Cactuar in Kaklim desert? Some old guy wants it and I can't beat the thing.
I think I will grind then. Using job points grants you more ability slots when you level up you job and let you use that class' skill even when you change job. For instance, I can change my black mage into a summoner and still cast lv. 5 black spells. IMO if you are not investing any points past lv. 3 you are wasting tons of experience!
I can't get past Ch. 1... I'm assuming that after the watcher uses soul despair a story sequence is supposed to kick in, but it definitely did not...
In the prolgue it goes to a story sequence in ch 1 u have to beat him...(unless ur talking about something later on from the beginning?)
Need Help I'm stuck on Chapter 3. I can't seem to kill Asmodai. His spells deal my party way too much damage and he frequently disappears too. Any help please? Nvm, I just kept casting slow minuet with Matoya and he doesn't even have a chance to go invisible.
Anything worth stealing in this game? So far (chp2) just potions. Does it get to a point where I start to get weapons or not in this game? Thanks in advance
