I was going by the description that warned the game would need 8 (!!) gbs of free space to download, and would take up 4gbs after that.

I didn't notice the app store says it is a 2gb download. Could it be the case that after you download and install it, you'll still need the game to download stuff from its server? 'Cause if that's the case, I'm proper f#cked.

Can anyone shed some light on this?

Oh ok, thanks for that. So is the description just misleading?

There's a game initializing startup but I don't think it has anything to do with the net, but rather an unpacking of the software.

Ok, ok, that's a relief. But I'm not crazy, am I? It does say it needs 8 gbs of free space, which I admit freaked me out a bit. It's probably just a mistake, and serves me right for actually reading the description instead of just smashing the buy button and getting on with it.

Huh. Well, I would assume the largest it could bloat to during installation is the download size plus the installed size due to uncompressing. So, 2+3.6, or safely 6GB. Unless, it can exist on a device as the download, and the files uncompressing, AND the installed files all at the same time.

But, in order to avoid deleting another couple games, I may just download it on my Mac and transfer it. But I'd love to hear how others are installing it. The mystery around downloading, uncompressing, and installing fascinates me.

Any chance the sale "from February 10..." will actually lower the price tomorrow?

Haha, fascinating indeed. Now that I'm thinking about it, I'm not sure how am I going to prevent my mini2 from melting, taking into account that Assassin's Creed and Titan Quest seem to be just around the corner.

Wait, that actually makes sense, thought it seems like a strange move from square.

FFIX by far IMO. It's a much better game and experience in general. Better visuals, combat, music and story for roughly the same price.

Hopefully FF8 got drunk, fell down the stairs, broke it's neck and is never heard from again.

First impressions. The logo is blurry and screen rotation is NOT supported. WTF?

It wasn't supported for FF7 either and they only recently just patched that.

I really wish FFVII had been given the same mobile friendly treatment. Shame

Wow. I remember this was so blurry and hard to read on my 13 inch tv I had my ps1 hooked up to. Now I'm playing it on my phone that's basically half the size of my tv in HD. If you would've told tween me this, I'm not sure I would've believed you. Haha
