Yep exactly I agree beginning is cool I will make sure and back up this time This one and final fantasy vii I don't mind replaying forever
At least you're a good reminder to the rest of us. I think I upload every time I read that you forgot to.
Well, the MFi support seems to be working. Well, with the exception of ATE events. At least I can't figures out how to use these with the controller, but the touch screen still works of course. Anyone else figure out how to use ATE with the controller? I'm using the Steel series Stratus myself.
Wow. After grinding to try to steal the Fairy Flute last night and not getting it after a couple hours and many resets, I was able to nab it quickly this morning... Only to experience my first crash when I paused it (still in battle). Thought that was it and I'd have to give up. But after a couple more resets and tries in the Hilgigars battle, I got it! That fast forward option came in quite useful in this situation.
Even though it's pure speculation on my part, I hope they handed VIII to the team that did VII, but they had to finish other stuff first. Then IX's team blew us all away with their remastered port, and SE decide to scrap VIII's port with control overlays, and go back to give it a similar treatment to IX... Which of course, is taking quite a while. Then again, they may have just skipped it because of its initial reception or because IX's team finished their port before the team working on VIII. Anyway, I would also love to know the real reason!
I don't think they'll ever port it. They probably would have done so at the time of the PC remaster if they were to do it. I'd love to be wrong, though, as I love VIII.
I think they will though. Why wouldn't they, seem like a strange thing to skip it and the money it would bring in.
WTF? Seems the update a few weeks ago killed my game save and I keep getting a "connection timed out" when trying to connect to Square Enix for a cloud save. Anyone else have this happen?
Weird. The update's notes even say that the cloud save accessibility has been fixed. Personally, I haven't experienced any problems with the app, so I did not update it with the latest update yet. If it's not broke for me, I didn't want to risk anything. The last Assassin's Creed update makes the app now crash for me. And I don't want that happening with my favorite FF game. Anyway, I'd recommend signing out of iCloud, restarting your phone, signing in, and seeing if it will find your save that way? I mean, if it is definitely on their servers, then I guess that won't help at all.
Ended up deleting the game, signing out of iCloud, restarting and redownloading. Finally worked. I wasn't sure if it was on Apple's cloud or their own. Either way, glad I got it back.
anyone download the latest update? I heard the pervious update will remove the saved files, is that true?
Replaying this again since I missed it so much lol. Still prob my fave FF aside from 7. Now what's taking so long for FF8 or 10
Thats awesome. I've been playing this one for quite a few months off and on. Besides being my first FF to play, it's easliy my favorite. The style and setting is totally my taste. Just added the FFIX crystal to my video game sleeve! Anyway, I totally wonder the same about VIII and X. I hope we see VIII before X, though! I mean, I've got both on my Vita, but I'd love to have them on iOS too.
I'm one of those weird people who far preferred FFVIII to FFX. I know Squall is annoying, but I really enjoyed loads of elements of FFVIII, like maxing out characters' stats with the junction system. FFIX is the best, though! FFVII was my first, so it'll always have a special place in my memory, but FFIX is probably a better game. Funnily, playing through Chrono Trigger now for the Reload, I can see a lot of its DNA in FFX - it's that highly linear path that just pushes you ever onward. I know it's really there in all of them, but it's just so blatant in CT and FFX. Enjoying CT though!
Yeah 8 is one of my all time favorites. I guess if I had to rank mine, it would be X, VIII, XII or VII. I liked characters from 8 the best but X tops it for me just overall because of the entire experience (and all the major improvements that came with it). I'm doubtful of seeing X on mobile just because of how massive that game is, as it was also a revolutionary title for the Final Fantasy series. I'm still waiting on 8 and they mentioned a long long time ago they put 9 over 8 just because it was the anniversary. I bought the reasoning back then but now I'm not so sure. Feels like my favorite 8 got shafted. Especially when they've been going through in order and then skip one of my favorite series, it really hurts. Well in any case, I hope they use the same team for FF9 mobile for FF8 mobile (if they're even making one).
If VIII gets the same treatment as IX, that would be amazing. And the best way to play it. I'd take it off my Vita if that happens. And X isn't that big on the Vita. Of course, if they made the iOS port look as good as the PS4, then it definitely wouldn't fit. But I think the Vita version is under 4GB, which might not even matter in a year or two!
