I have to say it's extremely odd how intrusive and "all-powerful" the cheats are. It's bizarre that switching on 9999 damage and getting a free full heal are buttons on the PAUSE screen, like they're more intrusive than IAP notices are in other games even though they aren't IAP. I know they're optional, but the way they're presented is... borderline insulting to the original game. On top of that, the Game Center achievements don't care whether you use boosters or not. Out of curiosity I tried the instant level 99 thing, and you immediately get the achievement for hitting level 99 even though you cheated to get there. I can understand putting in a button to turn off encounters for low level runs and because there's a trade-off to avoiding battles, but this is ridiculous. It's overwhelmingly dumbed down. There's no "normal playthrough" option to just turn all of these things off and hide them permanently. They're presented to you every time you pause or enter the options menu. Might even be enough to justify getting a refund because of how absurd it is.
Uhm.. just don't!? I don't even consider it an option, even though it's there. Maybe that's just what it takes to make classic games more appealing to some of the modern gamers. Also if you want to use it, why the hell not? Maybe you just want to enjoy the story? Who cares about cheats in single-player games anyway..
I'm not there yet, but have you tried the touchk-there movement? Not only the joystick is an option, but the character can also move where you touch.
That powerful light just before fighting makes me really dizzy; at first I didn't care too much but with random encounters on and after 5 battles I'm pretty much knock out. I didn't find in settings where to skip those intros, any help please?
Lasted until 21! It's really easy, at least the first 20...you just hit the button before the rope reaches your head, and, voila! Then it speeds up, and switching speeds just kills me
I don't understand people and games these days, it sounds like everyone's saying "this game doesn't do exactly everything my brain and emotions want it to...refund!!!" with no concept of the effort involved. I hope they don't expect that from life too
5 after about 5 tries and so I figured that's good and moved on I'm 11 hours in now and still suck at the card game haha I'm gonna say this one more time If you ask for a refund on this kick ass classic game then you can't whine when every game is free to play garbage. I would've paid 30$ for this game and been okay with it. Proof I paid 25$ for final fantasy xiii-2 in the Japan App store and 20$ for final fantasy xiii. Bought them at the same time so that's 45$ for two games. This game now means I have 20 final fantasy games on my phone total haha
Actually got to 24 jumps on the rope.. press the button when "!" Appears, and not when the rope are coming down to vivi's feet
Asking for a refund because of something that is 100% optional is absurd. All you need is a little will power.
Minecraft has finally been dethroned on the Japan App Store as this game is now no1 in all apps and games on their store. And the rating is full stars!
What in the hell? This is a clown or a troll this can't be a living breathing person saying such crap. Not you of course the person who wants a refund because of options that are guess what, optional!
I played this game to death back in 2003, but looking at the Game Center achievements, I can't for the life of me, remember completing any of the mini-games. Does anyone remember which of the achievements are limited (as in, they only happen once, like the sword fight for the nobles)? I don't want to miss any. It's a long game and I don't want to play through everything over again for one little achievement. If rather be warned in advance.
Just remember - according to the game once you turn on those you can't turn them off. So it's really only valuable if you are having trouble with a fight or something. Save first, hit the cheat and figure it out then load up your old save and wipe the smile off that boss's face.
In the character menu when looking at things like abilities select the ? Icon and hilight something for a description. You also need to double select the 'equip' or similar button at the bottom, there's also big gaps between abilities so it's worth scrolling down. Confused me for ages
