Why? for US $4.99 you get the same content of last year version. This year you can try it for free and play ultimate team for free. Why are you crying???? Please explain...
I posted it before, but it's not really the playing field stuff as much but things like the stands and red carpet underneath them. I do think the playing field does look a little better in Fifa 13, things like the player sizes etc. But it does look ok, just nothing really was improved graphically from Fifa 13. At least, not dramatically.
Well...you literally posted "Wow, I knew I could trust your word since you are so active in Fifa threads. This is a huge step back from FIFA 13, a huge disappointment. It almost seems like a new dev team did this. Pretty shocking." and all of this because of the stands and red carpets? Give me a break. Also, like a few others you seemed to not understand the pricing model. This is NOT FREEMIUM at all. and I'll tell you why 1. you can download the game for free (While you had to pay to download Fifa 13) 2. You can play utlimate team for free (again, you had to pay for that in fifa 13) 3. For $4.99 you can play all modes like you did in Fifa 13 For which you also had to pay $4.99 at launch. how is this freemium and how is this worse than last year? If you guys want to criticize the freemium model, please do so in threads like Real Racing 3 or Madden 25. You will have my full support there because IMO EA ruined those franchises. But I'm thankful that they saved Fifa for now.
Well, I still stand by my comments that it is very disappointing. And that this game is basically just a rehashed game from years past to accommodate a freemium structure. And yes, Fifa 13 is far better than this. Way better.
Arghh! Hate playing as a player in manager mode and hate the simulate where just gives u text Why don't they make the match a 3d simulation or highlights Gameloft did this with total football manager... So surely they can do it with fifa
Honestly, I feel like I just like games tok easily. I have had zero probelms with freeium games. madden is by far one of my favorite recent releases, while Fifa '14 is still growing on me. I like the old contorls, vs. the new updated ones.
I'm not sure what you're so disappointed about If you've played 10, 11, 12, and 13, you know what you're getting The biggest update was the online multiplayer This year it's free so there's gonna be more people playing There really is no freemium structure to this game at all. $4.99 is $3 cheaper than every other iteration. Plus it's not nickel and dimeing me for features. The game may as well just be $4.99 in the App Store.
I find this to better than FIFA 13 hands down, in every way. There are slight graphical improvements. The players are more full figured and overall the game visuals are a little more refined. The biggest improvements I notice are in gameplay. This years game shares a lot with the console version. If you play last years game and this one back to back, you'll notice that it is no longer as easy to penetrate by sending through balls up the pitch or by outrunning the opposing team. The A.I is smarter and more aggressive. This requires more strategic tactics. The gameplay has also been slowed down a little, to accommodate these changes. If you play the console version you'll notice that the same changes were made. To me this is a vast improvement and makes the experience more realistic. The player animation has also been improved.
This version win over Fifa 13 hand down in online mode *Pros : - Footballer figures and animation are better - It feels like the defenders are better organised, but it might be subjective. - Game speed feels a bit slower in online match - You can customize your squad and tactic for online match, which is huge improvement (i hate pausing in game!) - More players for online playing (3500+ ccu last time i checked, i've never found it hard to find game on 13 though) - Online match time feels a bit longer than in 13 (maybe 3 mins per half now) - Low battery consumption (went from 50% to 37% after more than an hour playing on my iPad mini) *Cons : - Sometimes it crashes to homescreen - Not really smooth on my mini, maybe only 25fps or so - Players get disconnected quite alot (online mode) - Power bar when passing or shoot is too big - Forward run by tapping skill button is removed - No power bar in freekick or goalkick Not to mention it's free, honestly I only play online matches these days so it's a no-brainer. If anyone lives in Western Europe (France, UK, Ger, Bel...) want a game pls add me : SoFasttt. My current ratio is 57/0/15 and at the moment of the post i'm having a 8 games winning streak (lost a few games early on when testing different tactics
Ok, since you dislike the word structure so much, I will change it to the follows: Well, I still stand by my comments that it is very disappointing. And that this game is basically just a rehashed game from years past to accommodate becoming a freemium game. And yes, Fifa 13 is far better than this. Way better.
Funny, I never played any of the touchscreen versions of FIFA but since it was free, I gave this a shot (well, the Android version - no room on my phone and seems like it would be better in tablets anyway). I was pleasantly surprised at how good it is. The touch controls work great. I'm not a huge sports game fan so admittedly I probably will just play occassionally and not get the full game unlock. But I'm impressed. Of course, I don't own any of the previous versions to compare it to.
Only ever played the console versions... played the game briefly last night and it was fun But can anyone advise: 1) is there a career mode? (is it the manager mode - or do you not 'play' matches in manager mode? 2) can you see players stats? (so not just their overall number, but stats for defending etc) Thanks
Most of the discussion in the thread was about the amount of improvement between Fifa 13 and 14. This has always been one of the best sports series on ios.
That's still in there, even then, you can just swipe those suckers forward. My main game is manager mode, sticking it to the top teams with a league 2 team is satisfying beyond belief.
It doesn't seem like it. I tap and nothing happens. I prefer tapping because in tight passing situations, it's not the best idea to move your hand from the controls. And every time I seemingly draw a straight line, they veer off somewhere else.
I tried many time and it doesn't seem there. Ofc you always can swipe over footballer but it's too slow that way I can't stand fifa full manager mode, even on PC. If you prefer managing then you should try out Football Manager Handheld, it's well worth the price and is the best soccer sim out there. @Doc-hardware, what is your pseudo? let's have a match
