Lol with all the new apps that came out the past few weeks (edge, space ninja, the monopoly price drop, Lux DLX, Snails Reloaded) i almost forgot i even still had fieldrunners on my touch. I hope this comes out soon because that was the first real touch game i was actually hooked on. 1.2 sounds great.

Wow this update sounds awesome. I think I suggested the Flametown in my App Store review.

i tend to only play this game after an update as with some other games on my iPhone. It sparks my interest again. Like buying a new app almost.

can't wait for this to come out

  3. Awesome. I loved the 1.1 update, and this sounds just as good. New towers!!

The game desperately needs some more content so this update sounds great. :D

Same here. I found it incredibly boring after the first couple of hours, but this (long overdue) update might help.

How do you "beat" classic mode? I played through over 50 levels on both maps, yet the game still wont let me access endless mode..

What about the update ? On twitter there are some news (not since 3 days) but we are waiting the update since a long time.

Please give us a date ! One week, one month, one year ?

Yeah FR need to revive themselves! It's too simple currently for a 5 dollar app.

i guess i'll have to make a minor complaint in that there's only one new map? how hard is it to make a map? i know there are alot of TD games with varieties of single path maps, why can't FR add a few just for variety? the new multiple-path map sounds intriguing and is very original, but single path maps can be very fun too.
sure most other games do that, but not with FR-level graphics...

It's not just about "making" a new map, that's easy. Maybe I'm wrong but I think they try to balance the type, hp, and speed of waves for each map by hand rather than just throwing them out there and saying "ok each wave is 1.3x as strong as the last" (I imagine the endless mode is automatically generated). This would take a while, and they have to do it for each difficulty. Then you have the issue of balancing the new towers, trying not to make them too weak or too powerful. By itself this might not be too hard, but you have to make sure the balance works roughly the same on all the levels! Maybe the Flame tower worked perfectly for Crossroads but is insanely overpowered on the new map. So they go back and adjust it but now it's useless on Grassland.

What I would like to see to improve replayability (other than new maps of course) are challenge modes like TapDefense (and many other computer TD's before it). Start the game with X money and get none from killing and beat Y waves. 1 life mode. 20 tower limit mode. No selling mode, etc etc. That should actually be fairly easy to do.

very cool, miss the joys of FR

a new map is great and of course even more would be better, but I'd be excited for simply new background graphics for the preexisting maps.

Can't wait for the update. This is still one of my favorite games (even though I haven't played it in a while). I'll have to start playing again after the update is released.

Yeah, I'll definitely re-play Besiegement after the update. It looks really impressive. :) Can't wait for this update either.

Both TD's are fantastic in their own ways.
