I really wish people would use their brain before raging out over iPhone DLC. The differences between console DLC and iPhone DLC is minimal, yet the attitude people have towards both is night and day. A new Borderlands DLC was released, and one is in the works. People who like the game are excited that they're adding even more content, people who didn't like the game don't buy it... And that's really all there is to it. Compare that to DLC on the iPhone which always comes along side allegations of developer greed, being ripped off, and tons of other negative comments. Why is it console gamers can either buy things they want or not buy them without having some kind of tantrum?
Hooked on Phonics worked for me and it can work for you too! Seriously unless you are actually that thick, just stop playing dumb and admit your logic makes no sense. What difference does it make how long it took for the update to come out? It's here now, either play it or don't. Would you rather they rush out an update and have it be crap, so you could have something else to whine about?
What? So your happy as for them to take 65 months to bring out an update and then pay for it even if the maps are crap. I'm not whining about anything, I'm just saying it's not worth the price. How is that whining, your logic makes no sense. Pretty sure your thick. Go away troll.
it's you're, and yes i am.(phonics) and you are the troll not him. you are the minority because the new maps are awesome and so are the weapons, I would have paid twice as much for them and I don't care if they ever update it again because it's gone past what I expected to get. Nowhere did it say we would get free updates for this game so I fail to see how this is an issue.
@Hodapp: I think some people (no, I'm not accusing you, Asphyxiation) used to pirated games, so back in pre-DLC days, they can always get all the updates for free, not to mention the games themselves. Now with DLC, they have no other choice but to pay or they're missing some stuffs. I applaud Apple for providing this method and developers for using this method. First, it protects devs from piracy. This is so important to invite more big-name devs to release serious games (not minigame like Ceville). Then, it also brings the initial cost lower for those who just want to try the game, eg. Pac-Man CE. If we love it, we can buy the additional levels. If not, then we won't get burned too much having to pay the full price for all 100+ levels only to find out we don't even enjoy the first 10. That said, I feel some devs could be a bit wiser with their pricing, eg. It costs $0.99 to buy the whole Minigore game and it costs exactly the same to buy 1 new character. This new character doesn't have any special attributes (like different speed, strength or ability), it's just a different skin. For that, I think they could've included both Kid Gore and Santa as 1 DLC. It's different in Fieldrunners though because each new map has its own unique runners and towers. If Minigore were to feature something similar (Santa with his unique attributes + his own unique enemies + his own unique levle background) then I'd say the price is more fair.
Thanks grammer police. How am I the troll? That doesn't make any sense. Explain your logic. Dude. You don't know me so that's fair enough. But I'm not cheap, I buy all the good apps that come out from Gameloft etc. I just fail to see why it took them so long. It's like Valve with the L4D DLC.
Much like Valve they were working on other things? Do you think Subatomic has just been on some massive year long luxury cruise circumnavigating the globe since the initial release of Fieldrunners?
I don't see why time matters. If the maps are crap you don't buy them. If you feel they're not worth the price don't buy them. But to say you waited so long and thus new contents should be free makes no sense. Devs have other things to do too you know.
How long something took to be released doesn't really matter to me when it comes to whether or not I'll buy it, no. That doesn't make a whole lot of sense.
What? How does that make me a troll. Do you even know what a troll is? How is that trolling, that's just my opinion.
haha, funniest thing I have heard in awhile. obviously you don't... yup, thats you, and you are also a post whore....
