Since I also get the connection lost when I login I decided to try a new account. Logged out of gamecenter (so my original account is still there) deleted the app and reinstalled. And I could play again everything was ok. Then I build a labatory and want to upgrade my troops. But everytime I press upgrade the game crashes. So I now have two accounts which are broken. Really liked this game the first 2 days but I am giving up, the game is completly broken and no progress has been made in a week.

Earlier on my 3.5k gem stash went down to around 100. Restarted the game and my stash came back. It's just a symptom of the ongoing server issues. I continue to soldier on with this game, and I'm not considering quitting just yet, but I have to say this issue has gone on for far longer than I would have expected. Assuming the hosting is virtualised, as you would expect these days, I would have thought that buying in more resources would have been relatively easy. Even completely re-platforming could have been achieved in this timeframe. No amount of tweaking or optimising the code is going to take the place of more/better/faster server hardware. This game now has a banner in the App Store, which I would have thought is money down the drain at this moment. The servers are back up, but they are not even close to being acceptably fast (i.e. as they were prior to the end of the soft launch period). I hate to use the phrase "go big or go home", but in a competitive market like this, with essentially a Clash clone, server issues are the least of your challenges - getting that part right is a given. Subatomic need to go for the nuclear option here and put this game on a server platform that's future-proof. Go big. Don't go home because I like the game.
Another client update and still lost connection errors - I just wanna play! I am slipping down the league tables everyday that goes by.
We are working as hard as we can to make sure this problem no longer happens. We are trying to get a fix out for the Research lab issue as soon as we can. We are aware of it, and we have people working on it as I type this. I'm glad you still got your resources. And there will be compensation for all these issues, to be sure. I'm not one of our server folks, although they have been plugging away for all sorts of crazy hours to get this fixed. I can certainly show them any worthwhile advice. I'm glad you're still sticking with the game, and we'll be sure your patience is paid off. We really do hope you'll reconsider once the server issues get fixed! We want you to play! Our efforts are going night and day to make sure you can get in and catch back up.
Latest update still a fail Just installed the latest update and I am still receiving the connection lost issue - when on earth will this be fixed. It's getting beyond a joke now!
Random Resource Amounts Every time I log out and back in, my resources (gold, wood, apples, gems) can randomly change. They may change back in the middle of playing. But they are all over the map. Really frustrating to not know what you have. Or to raid 4,500 of each resource, log back in and have less than that amount of each resource.
New update did nothing. Still have no heroes, no ability to play and the 500 gems the game took still haven't returned. Cool!
Give them time. They are clearly trying to iron things out the best they can. If it's not good enough, you can move on. Don't blame you either way but that's the state of things. Give them one more week to iron things out (possibly two in light of the holidays obviously), and see what the prognosis is. It does seem to be improving at the least. And they've already stated they will compensate the player base once the dust has settled nicely.
I really like it when my gems and resources change every time after I have attacked or logged in. and when this happen, the game forced me to restart the game. The loading time is no helping either. However if my crates not giving any item, why the game is not forced to restart, lol. Oh, man, maybe I should try to refund my IAP purchase.
Yet another day and still can't play. Connection lost - must restart... No new server build last night so nothings changed. I have now run out of wood, gold an food so can't build anymore. This is because I cannot attack due to the connection lost issue therefore I can'not replenish any of my stocks. So as of now I cannot do anything in game. It now also appears that I have lost 4500 gems (back, gone, back, gone - gems are up and down like yoyo's today at 32 now)... Ickle
Pretty much every number on the game screen is inaccurate and in a state of flux. They are never all correct at the same time. My level is currently saying 9, when I've already hit 11 yesterday. My gems say 537, but I have over 3.6k now. My resources are currently correct, but they fluctuate massively and I never actually know how many I've got. I've currently got maxed out wood and gold as I'm upgrading my HQ, but a few minutes ago I had around 3k of each. Give me strength!
We are aware of the issue where people's resources are fluctuating randomly, and that is absolutely a top priority for us, in addition to the larger server connectivity issues. We have been seeing this happen to our own accounts, as well. For those of you whose accounts are put into League 1 without heroes, we're going to make sure to fix said accounts once the core issues are solved and the fix is out. We continue to ask for your patience, and we'll keep working as much as possible to get these resolved.
I have to wish you guys good luck today as the App Store will be closed after today for the holidays - after that server tweaks are the only way to go.. I have to say the lost connection issue that I am having sounds more like server than a client issue... Get some red bulls and knuckle down for the day (no bunking off for extra Christmas shopping) A state of play before, Christmas would be appreciated. Good luck Ickle
We'll definitely be putting something out on our Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/Fieldrunners/) before the end of the day. And believe me, we're VERY aware of App Store closing for the holiday today! We're working on getting as many server fixes in as humanly possible.
