Fieldrunners 2 (By Subatomic Studios)

Release date = July 19th

 

Confirmed according to their twitter feed: "Haven't passed the review process yet, but there are rumors around a July 19th launch. We'll keep folks posted."

This is unfortunate.

 

This is true. I don't want to say we have an officially official release date yet, but the current thinking is that our launch is now about two weeks away. The whole team here is just as eager to get this game out as you all are to play it. I really appreciate all the excitement you guys have shown about Fieldrunners 2, it brings a smile to all our faces I know it's a real bummer to have launch announcements followed by false starts - maybe I jumped the gun and gave out (in retrospect) uncertain details too early, but we were so excited to share the news and keep you all in the loop... Double edged sword, I suppose.

In any event, I don't want to encourage speculation. I'll update people here when we've got a thoroughly official launch date. We appreciate how awesome you guys have been throughout the build up to our launch. You all rock

How many towers(weapons) and maps will there be?

 

Are you planning on releasing right when the game is approved, or are you going to hold off until a Wednesday/Thursday rush?

 

How about having a sale on the original Fieldrunners until this new one is released? Marketing and the like, keep everyone interested and stuff. [hint] [hint]

 

We're at about 25 maps and 20 weapons (not including bombs and other items used for precision based attacks)

Probably going to be on a Wednesday/Thursday, but we'll consider all options once the game gets approved.

Can you answer if the Ipad version will be a universal update or an entirely different app, and how much later it will be?

 

Fieldrunners is a must buy for me, however in my excitement I picked up mini ninjas and bioshock 2 for my Mac for $16 each from the AppStore now I'am tempted to get braid for 4 bucks cruise this wait

 

We don't plan on going the universal route. Hopefully the iPad version won't take much longer once the iPhone version is out. We'll keep you posted!

The plague sounds like it will be my new favorite already haha. Cant wait to see what else is in store!
