It depends on how many Tower Defense games you have played. I own and love both, but I think Fieldrunners is a much better introduction to the genre.

If you have played a lot of them, then you should pick based on weather you like free field or path based.

If you have played TDs before and you don't have a strong preference to type, then I would agree with Max and say get Swarm.

    Or get both.

You are correct. I was thinking of the first one. I still think Fieldrunners is a better introduction to the genre.

I also agree that Fieldrunners is a better introduction to the genre. It's one of the first TD games I've ever played, and helped introduce me to the concept. was one of my favorite games ever for a long while

I also agree with this. Fieldrunners was my first TD game for the itouch and I pride myself as tower defender lol.

Of course I played online ones before it, but it was a nice intro that got me ready for other TD games on the itouch.

In truth I haven't played this game in a while, due to other awesome games that came out, such as Defenders Chronicles, but I'll give this game another visit for old times sakes, once the update comes out.

Gosh, I guess if you already ahve it for PSP AND it came with these maps then you probably shouldn't buy it again.

I think, however, that since about a squillion people have purchased this for the iPhone who don't ahve it for the PSP, perhaps there is still a bit of a market, even if you don't want it.

It could of been AWESOME, but they just took to long, quite sad really.

They then expect us to buy the new maps. *Sigh*

precisely, i rarely play fieldrunners now - with new levels it would give the game a new life and fun factor, and i would play it.

But having bought this at $4.99 when it first came out, there is no way im paying another $2 just for new levels when i too, have bloons td and many other tower defence games which are just as fun.

The app store is a competitive market, and you have a great game, but i cannot see many, other than die-hard fieldrunner fans buying this!

    Maybe, but I doubt it.

    Silly greedy devs.

I disagree. FR has been in the top 100 paid games since it came out. I think there are more than a handful of people who will get the DLC. This will be very lucrative for Subatomic.

maybe I'd be more willing if I'd gotten the game for $3 instead of 5
