The long-awaited Fieldrunners update 1.3 has finally been submitted and is pending approval. Here's the original developer message from Fieldrunners Forums: As you can see, the update will probably contain lot's of new stuff, although everything listed here is just OpenFeint functions, but the most anticipated part of the update is probably the In-App Purchase function, that happens to come with two new maps, for 0:99 each. Here are a few screenshots of the new goodies: Frostbite and Skyway: I don't know about you guys, but the Apple approval process has in my opinion been quite fast in the latest couple of weeks, so who knows; this update might see the light of day very soon.
In-App purchases sucks. Who wants to pay more for some extra levels? I thought I already bought the game.
Isn't tomorrow the last day before their Christmas break? I don't think we're gonna see it until January 2010. Plus the screenshots you provided are from PSP right? Any native screenshot from the iPhone version(like the openfeint achievements, new map selection screen etc)?
Wednesday is the last day. Defender Chronicles recently had an update approved in 1 day and QuickOffice had 3 in a week, so I'm just saying there's hope. The screenshots are probably from the PSP, yes, cause I figured I had to have something in this thread to get those who haven't already seen it excited.
I know, it's really a shame they haven't released any info about it for quite some time until right now. I think there were screenshots of the iPhone version in Touch Arcade's previous article. Update: Nevermind I found them: Link to the article in November: http://toucharcade.com/2009/11/06/fieldrunners-goes-openfeint-gold-new-maps-coming-soon/
i already paid for this app and they havent updated it at all apart from to bring out this new way to try and make more money of people. I havent played fieldrunners for ages and since theres nothing new to it i dont plan to when this update comes out.
Hmm... does the update contain any sort of new function that doesn't cost money via DLC? I'll probably be buying the maps (to support the developers and of course to be able to play them ), but I paid lots (well, for App Store it's lots of money ) of money for this already...
Well I havent played fieldrunners in a while but I might pick it up once mroe. But Im not buying DLC, I dont care abouts maps
I'm sure there won't come a map editor, because they can't ask money for their maps then. I think 2 maps for $0,99 is a fair price in the app store.
The only way I'd get these maps is if they allowed a free download for those who bought this at the original price.
