I just don't get how to control with screen tap.
When selecting screen tap control it's to tap the left or right side of screen for the way to which I want to turn. Is that right?
But that does not work that well....I just can't enjoy the game except for the luxurious intro movie.
How do you guys think about Ferrari GT?

  2. I tried the tap method as others seem to like it, but I actually prefer the tilt method myself.

the game feels like it's on rails, it drives so badly compared to fastlane in drifting and everything, pretty pissed I bought it actually..

Seriously, ditch all racing games and get Fastlane, it is so damn good!

i personally like Ferrari GT. I really like driving using the accelerometer. It feels like you're driving the ferrari. At, first, I was 3rd or 5th especially make mistake during the drifting. But, today I manage to get 1st most of the time. I already manage to buy 3 cars. I like it that they have the email system where it's as if you're receiving email and reading them on your pc. I don't know what problem you guys are having. I'm having a blast with this game. Although, of course Fastlane is better at the racing. But, wad de heck. I love ferrari cars!

Hi, I have a possibly stupid question about Ferrari GT:
Does the career mode open new cars, and more importantly, does it tell about them ?

I have played the game 60% through, and still not sure about this. I mean, I have never seen any unlock/reward screens apart from those that tell me "No new unlocks". After some races the message screen seems just to flash by without pausing, and I can't see what the message was about, but the screen looks different. I have been wondering if these could be the unlock/reward screens - I have never seen such and it would feel logical to have some. Why tell me when I have not unlocked anything, but not tell when I do.

Have you noticed this behavior and if you have, do you think it is a bug that "doubletaps" past the result screen? (and no, I'm not doubletapping).

yeah. It's perplexing to me too. I won a couple of races and still i'm i'm not un-locking any damn new tracks or whatever. But, once I earned enough money I can buy new cars. I already bought 2. Also, you get to interact with more people via email. That's about it. :(

The tracks unlock as you progress, I've got all but two open. I checked the game help (the last resort ;) ), and it stated that cars are unlocked through quick mode or by buying them in career mode. I guess there are no real unlockables in career mode then, and the "no new unlocks" is a bit of red herring.

But I'm not complaining, the game is good, if a little too easy (compared to Fastlane, of course).

I dig it. Accelerometer controls, FTW. Glad to see Gameloft didn't screw that up as they did with Asphalt after the last update (man...that game used to control so well, and now....). That said, the sensitivity is a bit too low in Ferrari GT, even with user controlled toggle. It's not so much the sensitivity even, as it is the fact that there's some sort of delay when steering. It's not nearly instantaneous as it is with other racers on the platform. Hopefully Gameloft fixes that, and hopefully if they do they don't fudge up the accelerometer controls as they did with Asphalt.

BTW, people around these parts stated it was an arcade racer and Fastlane more of a sim. Not really. Turn off the dynamic steering option in Ferrari GT and it becomes much more sim like. It's a bit like my favorite racer on Dreamcast, Test Drive Le Mans, in that regard. Hmmm. I'd actually love to see Le Mans on this platform too.

Anyway, if you're in the market for a pure arcade racer, Fast and the Furious: Pink Slip is the one to buy. Really underrated.
