The puzzle is quite hard I would say, but if you do not aim for having all 3 "stars", it is enjoyable.
I played through several levels awhile back on a Windows PC. I loved the look and humor of the game, but I hit a puzzle I couldn't solve and ended up not going back. At this price, I have no choice but to give it another go now on iOS. Vamp And Lamp? (another one I wasn't great at) and a game I was thinking of that involved shadow manipulation was Helsing's Fire, but neither one is quite like this. --- (edit) or possibly Shadow Vamp. I'd forgotten that one, and it does feel more like Felix the Reaper in that you need to guide the vampire through the level while avoiding the sunlight, but it hasn't been updated to 64-bit. I rediscovered it while going back through my purchase history to find old games to put on my old iPad Air.
Yeah, lovely it had that effect, thank you for getting back to us on it! So happy! Yeah, we'd love to flag the voice acting more, but we do as much as we are able to, I can only say. At least we got him, and I even got to direct him. So that was one for the bucket list for sure.
Lovely, didn't play those. Have to figure out a way to do that now. Happy, you were convinced to get back to this! Thank you.
Yeah, we were aiming for a split in audience, where the main campaign were for everyone, and the rest for more hardcore puzzle gamers, but we've come to realize, that all completionists are not necessarily hardcore puzzlers, so the balancing is rough if you are aiming for everything. And yes we've experimentet with a few levels with time constraints for achievements, and that's tough stuff. Sorry, up front.
This is a wonderful game, beautifully produced, funny and pretty challenging. Patrick Stewart is awesome and the whole dancing thing brings so much life and humour to the whole thing - 5*
Thank you!!! Can't possibly ask for any more here. Just thank you! We sure did have fun, even if I'm not allowed to show any BTS from the Patrick Stewart recordings, we actually did this tiny production documentary/infomercial, or whatever you want to call it.
I think I’ve found a pretty apt description for that video: “A sure fire way to secure purchases” Had I not already bought the game, that little video right there would’ve had me forking over those measly $4 immediately. Yeah, this game’s clearly a passion project and I hope it gets the attention it deserves. It’s beyond amazing that mobile gets what is essentially the definitive version of the game, so hopefully Felix has found his new home.
Haha, great, I'm happy you feel that way! There was a lot of passionate and skilled people involved in this from day one, and we thought it important for everyone, that we tried to flag that as best possible, without boring people with it. We actually did a few more of these, I'll get around to sharing those too for sure.
Hopefully there is, but for now, hope is all we got. Sorry, about that, especially since this reply is written from a Pixel 3a...
Hi, what do you think of the Pocket Gamer review of Felix The Reaper? They sum up like this: "Felix the Reaper invites players into this rich, quirky, and tragically romantic world of hilarious deaths and bop-your-head-to-the-beat dance moves, but ultimately falls short on creating a more compelling gaming experience. Dive into it for a puzzle or two a day, but it’s not something you’ll likely be absorbed into from the get-go." And end on 3/5 stars. I have a hard time figuring out, whether the reviewer played more than the initialt chapter? Is that ok? Could be, but I can't make up my mind here. What can we do if we get a chance to make an update, to remedy the critique of the controls in your opinions?
All I can say right now is, that I really hope so! It's not our decision, but we certainly made the changes with that intend
