Thats because he has both a cat and a dog if I remember well ^^ There should be a monster Hoover or a monster Cucumber to scare those cats in the game I'd love to fight a giant Hoover with cats running like chicken all around the place.
hello, will you also release an tvOS version ( apple tv ) for this game ? also support it with iCloud game save sync / local Coop for the tv version would be nice and this game will support Game center API on iOS when it release right?
Why not have the cats stack on top of each other? The top most cat could then jump to a higher area. Here is another thought , though I'm not sure how you could use it in the game for puzzles etc. When you tap a cat it meows and when you swipe/rub over a cat it purrs. Good luck with you game.
Haha, you guys are awesome! I should have started posting about Felis sooner, so many great ideas! Making characters react to screen touch is a feature that I've been thinking about since the beginning. Someone suggested being able to name the cats as well. Maybe by touching and holding you can add a name, and touching & stroking make the cat meow and purr. These wouldn't affect gameplay... but would be undeniably awesome, and easy to implement. I promised myself to have a working version in about two months, but I'm sure I can fit into that time frame some extra features. And if something comes up later there's always updates right? :-0 Edit: About Apple TV, I agree 100%, would be a shame not to have it on Apple TV. Needless to say everything takes time, but adding coop will be so much worth it.
How about those cats interacting with the background once in a while? As an example maybe a butterfly flying away and the cats trying to catch it, or a mouse walking away from the cats or if for example you stop moving, having the cats to sit or lie on the ground to have a nap.
That sounds cool, hehe. I'd use cats getting away, as a difficulty feature, maybe by chasing a mouse. Cats sleeping sounds like a very nice detail. I assure I'm writing down the suggestions you give me so I don't forget!! This is going to be my go to forum from now on for all games I make. Hey redribbon, thanks! The real test will be playing it. If I'm not mistaken Apple allows me 100 promo codes to give away for iOS, in a couple of months I can pm you one if you're still interested. :3
The idea of the cat chasing a butterfly came from the studio Ghibli actually (the studio who made Totoro, Mononoke and other big Japanese anime). They made a CM that everybody loved very much here in Japan, have a look at it: http://youtu.be/7A6CXTILJr0 Ghibli studio have always had cats in nearly all their anime.
That is good! You'll find very enthusiastic gamers here. And we tend to be very supportive of indie developers! It's a good place to find decent testers, too, if you ever need any.
That is very valuable for me, on many levels. I put a lot of time on making a game, but all that is nothing without your input. Back to work now! So much to do! :3
I've got pretty darn good advice on Arrimus Youtube channel. Got plenty of advice, but best thing I learned is that the game needs a lot more audiovisual feedback. This will help me make the game a lot better. Here is the video!
