Personally I feel Fedor will send Lesnor back to the WWE crying like the milk baby he is, but I thought I'd see what others thought.

Lesnor is a beast. say what you will about the guy, but I don't see anybody beating him soon.

Fedor has beaten guys at least brock's size. Hong man choi and that Sammy Schildt guy. Both are over 7 foot. Looking back on Fedor's fights the mans not only beaten some of the best fighters in MMA, but made it look easy while doing it. The man's in another league all together. Lesnor's big, and strong, but he's not a great fighter. His ground technique is an ugly ground and pound, and submissions from the guy are yet to be seen. Check out some of fedors fights, you will be amazed.

I just watched the Hong Man Choi fight. he's a big dude, but a lame fighter.
Lesnar is a behemoth and a former NCAA wrestling champion.

however I will admit I don't follow the sport religiously or anything. and while I haven't seen many of Fedor's fights, he's certainly an impressive fighter.

Although we won't see this fight anytime soon, if ever, I'd put my cash on Lesnor. I think Mir and Couture tought him a few lessons he won't forget.

I'd like to see Chung Lee jump weight and dominate Fedor :D

It'll be worth the laugh, when Fedor ties his big beefy elbow up and has him crying like a girl:) The last UFC champ to take on Fedor was Tim Sylvia, and he never made it past the first round. Fedor destroyed the heavyweight champion of the premier mma franchise in one round. The guy hasn't lost a fight in 9 years, and the ONE fight he did lose was due to a sever cut, where the ref stopped the match. He went on to destroy the same fighter in a rematch by submitting him with strikes. I'm not saying he's invincible, but I guarantee he'll be the one to shut lesnar up:)

Okay well that's really putting a damper on my day:) WTF Fedor your making me look bad. Anyway I was searching the net and found this on eastsideboxing's forums:

The MMA media is abuzz with the latest in the Fedor Emelianenko-UFC negotiations. Carmichael Dave, one of the UFC’s favorite go-to guys in the media, announced the terms Zuffa is offering Fedor:

The UFC offered Fedor a 6 fight, 30 million dollar contract. That’s 5 mil a fight
    - The UFC offered Fedor an immediate title shot
    - Lesnar/Fedor would be the biggest PPV in MMA history (we assume), and the UFC offered M-1 Global a cut of the PPV on top of Fedor’s purse.
    - Fedor was free to wear as many M-1 logoed items as he wished.
    - The UFC also relented on allowing Fedor to compete in combat sambo.
Apparently, for good or bad, M-1 refuses to sign a deal unless the UFC agrees to co-promote

That’s the story. The question: why is everyone buying it? Our new special contributor Jonathan Snowden, the author of Total MMA: Inside Ultimate Fighting has the real scoop on the UFC’s offer.

“The numbers being floated there are a little misleading. The UFC’s offer of $30 million over six fights isn’t a guarantee,” Snowden learned from a source. “The number is based on Zuffa’s projections of what Fedor’s take of the PPV money would be, and the numbers they are projecting are based on selling a ton of PPV’s. The actual guarantee for Fedor is much more modest. It’s true that if business stays at record levels Fedor could walk away with $30 million. But that is no guarantee.”

In reality, this is a deal no more generous than many others Zuffa has offered to most of their top fighters. It’s a deal that is risky for a fighter like Fedor who prefers getting his money up front, rather than take a risk on whether the UFC’s business will continue to grow.

As long as Fedor can get guaranteed money elsewhere, he isn’t likely to take a chance on a deal that only pays him huge money if the business model continues to grow at an astounding rate. He seems willing to wait for the next promotion to come along and throw money at him: guaranteed money.

I still feel a little silly, as it admittedly looks bad:eek:

I wouldn't say Fedor would make easy work of Lesnar. Fedor has beaten huge guys before, but none have had the amateur experience of Lesnar (cannot overlook the NCAA wrestling record run he had), none were as athletically gifted as Lesnar (Brock moves freakishly quick for someone his size, while someone like Tim Sylvia was a very slow heavyweight) or as physically imposing.

Could he beat Brock. Probably. Most probable, in fact. Fedor has a ton of experience, and is gifted in the trifecta of skills needed to win in MMA: grappling/wrestling, striking, and submissions.

While Brock's last fight with Mir was an impressive victory, I saw holes in Brock's game in that fight as well as the fight with Couture. Frankly, his stand up skills are not very impressive. He apparently hits very hard, but he was getting beaten to the punch by Mir and Couture, and they weren't hitting him with one off shots but with combos. And those guys are NOT the hardest punching heavyweights out there. I could honestly see a guy like Liddell going back up to heavyweight and beating Brock due to Liddell having an absolutely vicious hook and punching power.

Brock's strengths are his wrestling skills and his speed and size advantage allowing him to get into great position to unleash ground and pound. But his stand up is a big weakness, IMHO. He's got power, but his boxing skills, ability to dodge punches and throw combos, aren't good at all. Furthermore, he's already shown himself vulnerable to getting into a bad position and falling right into a submission.

And that last point, btw, is why I think that if Noguiera beats Couture in their fight at this weekend's UFC event, and challenges Brock to the title, Nog has a far better chance of beating Lesnar. Nog's submission skills, especially on the bottom, and his ability to defend against the ground and pound, are legendary. The issue is that with age his once iron chin is vulnerable to knock out punches. But if he's able to get past Brock's punching power, and the fight goes to the ground, I give Nog the advantage over Lesnar.

Frankly, if Couture wins the match and faces Lesnar, I don't think Randy will lose that rematch. There were instances in that fight were he was actually dominating Lesnar in the clinch, and he was showing Lesnar's weakness in the stand up game. I can honestly see Couture beating Brock pretty soundly as long as he presses his advantages in the wrestling and particularly the striking departments.

Dana White practically guaranteed he would get Fedor after last month's UFC. He better give Fedor whatever the guy asks for... Fedor is really one of the last, well known, elite fighters NOT fighting for UFC. They got Rampage, Wanderlei, Anderson Silva, Hendo, the list goes on.

Guarantee him $30 million. If they're so confident in their projections, just give the guy the money. Everyone wants to see him in UFC, the PPV's are almost guaranteed.

Personally, I don't see Couture or Nogerra beating Lesnar. 5 years ago, maybe, but those guys have sustained so much freaking damage it's amazing they can still carry on a coversation.

Nogerra was a guy who could get hit by a bus and keep on trucking. But he's been pounded down too many times. Couture has received some very vicious knockouts courtesy of Chuck and recently Lesnar- and Lesnar didn't even catch him cleanly. He grazed him with is ham-hock forearm. I love both those guys- they are both class acts and Lesnar could learn a lot from them. I would want nothing more than to see either of them hold the heavyweight belt just a little longer... but realistically I don't see it happening.

Lesnar definitely has holes in his game but he gets better everytime we see him. The guy is a freaking beastman. The only one I could see beating him is Fedor. And if they do make this happen, I don't even think it will be close. Fedor will annihilate the guy because Fedor is a God and is a class of his own. Fedor's little brother against Lesnar would be an epic fight imo, but Fedor would just kill Lesnar. He beats down the best guys in the world and makes it look damn easy. Never loses his composure and I haven't seen all his fights, but I've seen many, and I have never even seen the guy get knocked down. I remember when he fought Crocop and people thought Crocop might stand a chance- Fedor just beat him down like he does everyone else.

Andre arvlovski had a good run against Fedor, but just like the rest, he went down. I remember his cro cop fight, I believe it was where his nose got busted and he didn't even blink. He just touched one nostril and blew all the blood out and got right back in it. I've never seen him smile, grimace, show fear, show pain etc. He's a friggen robot of destruction. In his vids you can see just how easy he gets a hold of an arm. No one wants to swing on Fedor cause they know he's looking for that arm.

Yeah I think you're right on that fight with cro cop and his busted nose. I remember when he snot-rocketed that blood out and I thought to myself, this guy is unreal.

I didn't see the fight against Arvloski, I'll have to check it out. I really like Andre but unfortunately he's not looking so hot in his recent fights. I'd like to see him get back to that elite status.

I think your right about his brother, that would be an awesome fight, where lesnor would actually have a chance:) But fedor a man dubbed "the last emperor" is as you said in a league all his own.

I love Kimbo! He's not so hot in MMA, but I love watching his original street brawls. Dudes a bare knuckle beast!
